Not sure where you have the Disney connection from Caroline, but it brought to mind an idea. D's deep, powerful voice and acting ability, would make for a very imposing, sinister bad guy in a Disney animated movie IMO. Lots of huge international acting stars appear in this type of thing, and I feel D's voice would be great in any role, but particularly for a villian :naughty:

It wouldn't be a factor in an animated movie, but there have been many handsome bad guys in movies over the years Caroline, and if the opportunity arose, I think D would make a good one, though I'd prefer him to be a hero/good guy personally too!

Omg i'd love to see Darius playing someone evil.!.......he'd be an Incredibly Sexy villian!! :heart: :............Actualy he's aready played a couple of nasty characters,the bloke he played in Hotel Babylon, and Rhett Butler had his nasty streak too!Mmmmmmmmm

I always fall for the baddies in movies, they are always the best looking, with dark brooding looks....I can see Darius with his beard, and long curling hair..I think he would make a great baddy

between Josh Groban and Michael Buble?

 

I've never really bothered with either of those so don't know anything about their body of work.

 

All I've gleaned is that, to me, Josh Groban has a good rich voice and Michael Buble has always seemed a bit lightweight when I've happened to hear anything.

Im like Baytree never bothered with either of those. I would have expected at least one or two opera type arias seeing as he won the show. I noticed last nite whilst watching tv that one documentary was backed by opera music sounding like rolando and an adveret also. It does seem opera has become more prominent as background music since the show.

I suppose singers are always expected to describe their forthcoming work in terms of music known to the public.

 

I'm hoping what we'll actually get is Darius does Darius, whatever genre he'll decide to use.

 

I was heartened by the song he sang on AT, although I think it would be strengthened by some English - that was sheer Darius. It may have been a harp on the show but I could imagine Darius sitting down with his Gibson and lovingly creating it.

 

 

I don't really mind what Darius does musically as long as he does something but as has been said even his straight acting was good. Just hope he does something else fairly soon.

We forever seem to be waiting.

have to say, I keep noticing opera playing in TV programs now!! I saw something on 4 about these awful true life mags and it had opera all through it as background music, most odd

That was the programme I meant pip when I said it was backed by opera music.

Did someone post here a while ago that Darius said his 3rd album was more in the vein of Buble's stuff?

 

Maybe the Groban reference is about trying to integrate some baritone vocals. Josh Groban is a baritone who has a higher range.

 

If we're in luck much of the original album may survive, unless his record company require it to be 60% classical.
