Darius took him at his word and then went one stage further and put his strongest b-sides on the most expensive single which wasn't available in all outlets. Someone needs to re-programme him. "Put your best songs on your album. Choose the four "best of the best" as singles. Lead with the strongest of those. Don't stress over the other side unless you intend to issue a double a-side. Anything you've written will make a good b-side."
August 15, 200717 yr Author that is what I felt, its a great idea to have some really good songs on the album, possibly ones that are just Too good to be singles..too deep, personal etc but I always felt people were only touching the sufave with the songs they heard duirng promo. others were bashing away at every opportunity with their best stuff, album tracks etc, Darius was seen still singing the same few songs - how can people judge someones worth if they dont know what that person has to offer! it frustrated me so much when I knew there was so many great tracks not getting a hearing
August 15, 200717 yr Ditto ditto but how much influece will 19 recordings have in this release, cant say I am impressed so far with the first single releases of emma bunton, GG etc, not strong enough.

Save fan favourites from past albums for the tours! Preston, yours is a question to which I don't know the answer. To be honest, I don't know if 19 as a large organisation, as opposed to Brilliant19, have worked for or against Darius in the main. When I consider that, I usually wish that the answer to your question would be a resounding None

August 16, 200717 yr He'#d have chosen 'Live Twice' - they chose 'Colourblind. Not his fault this time.
August 16, 200717 yr But my point is, Darius should not have sung anything that wasn't on Live Twice. He should have sung Better Man or Only You or if he had to, Devil In You which are different styles of songs from Live Twice. If he'd wanted a chorus people could sing and jump along to, he could have sung Love To Love, Stars Crash Down or How Do You Like It. There was no need to sing Colourblind at all. His albums are stuffed with strong songs which would play well to audiences. I expect the 3rd one will be the same. There is absolutely no way he should sing anything from Dive In or Live Twice during its promotion, unless he is doing a long setlist in his own concert/gig.

August 19, 200717 yr I know what you are saying Meg, but why can't they let the artist choose. Perhaps Darius feels ColourBlind is his best know and maybe he would have chosen it. Without asking I don't know.
August 19, 200717 yr I can't say I worry too much about the past - just worry about the future instead. What I could do with is some chocolate - and there's not a bit in the house. If this were Scotland, I'd be down to the supermarkedt.
