Well I cant understand Kelly being tipped for broadway when I read this on WOS -

Despite her stage fright, however, Osbourne has already agreed to extend her limited season, which commences on 10 September, by a week to 3 November to meet box office demand (See News, 23 Aug 2007).

The box office bit grates - dont remember them saying that when D extended for three weeks. She has had massive publicity lets hope she lives up to it.

Well, as long as she sells seats. Darius was inialitally booked for the length that Kelly has extended to. I think there was publicity when he extended for another month.

I wish they'd announce her Billy Flynn and that he won't be Darius.

However, if he did decide to do it at the same time, I know I'd just have to grit my teeth because I couldn't pass up the opportunity of seeing whether Shy's sureness and lightness would brush off on his BF.

I should think he's be fine but, it'd mean his plans have changed - which I wouldn't want.
Dont know how true this is but according to a post on WOS when duncan james leaves chicago Billy flynn will be played by Clarke Peters. He is 50, played billy flynn in the westend in 2001 and has done a massive amount of tv work and other acting so is very experienced, dont know about singing wise.
I am going to see the tour of Chicago here at Torquay with Ian Kelsey as billy flynn in October. It is getting a lot of publicity here, posters everywhere you look and a lot of coverage in local paper. It will be interesting to say the least.

I think I've found a piece of the puzzle which might explain why Darius was too busy, apart from the acting course, to do Chicago when he was nominated for that theatre award in 2006 and sheds some light on the 3rd album.

It's in here. You'll have to read through a lot to get to the reference though..............second bottom bullet point

So it seems Darius spoke the truth and the 3rd album is not pop.

blimey - that was out of the blue, What a CV - all of that and then mention of working with Darius on his new album randomly in there- how did that happen I wonder? I am intrigued now to say the least! how did he come to work with Darius!

That isz very interesting Baytree. Also found this today -

American Idol creator Simon Fuller has landed a pilot for a new, real-time medical drama.

Each episode of Austin Golden Hour follows a team of young emergency room surgeons in the 60 minutes following a major trauma.

The project is being developed for The CW, with Mal Young (Brookside, Doctor Who) writing the script.

I can just see Darius as a doctor, he will have the right bedside manner!!!!!

not another doctor drama please..has anyone got any ideas these days! I think Darius is too dignified to play a doctor, he needs to play something regal - I had hopes for him in the Prince of Persia film but alas,

still trying to find out about this producer/writer to see what sort of thing we may expect -

Is the SF thing a drama? Are you thinking something like 24 then? I thought it might be a docudrama, but that then again that would be intensely intrusive in a real hospital in real trauma situations.

Didn't George Clooney come to notice in ER?

We can take it Darius and this guy actually wrote music at least, if not whole songs, in the latter part of 2006 sometime after his run at the Cambridge. Whether any of it has survived the "pernickety producer" we'll have to wait and see.

Work in 2005 included two ‘Major Brand’ commercials, three full multi-version Infomercials, a major channel re-design/re-launch, several spots for DVD packages for local and international clients and music supervision for two major movie soundtracks.

Work during 2006 saw the successful launch of the American Telecom Pay N’ Talk spot ad campaign. Several DVD spot ads and two major music production assignments. Writing new material with Darius Danesh for his forthcoming Album and the successful negotiations to acquire the rights of several major news libraries to facilitate a major DVD and TV series Living History.

Well, explains why he dumped a lot of his previous stuff.

I wonder when he says writing with Darius Danesh if he means being D's US 'Pete' i.e. helping Darius with instrumentation for his acoustic melodies.

There seems to be nothing else in this resume about working directly with any other name, although he must surely have had a very strong interest in artists when he was A&R at CBS.

It's unlikely Darius will have much time to work on the album until after GWTW's previews and the show beds down into normal run pattern without changes and extra rehearsals.
