I remember the time that I kept hearing Darius in my head, singing 'I Love How You Love Me'. Daft place to sing it though.

Are the acoustics good in there?

 

I'd like to hear the near miss, the one we could've heard D sing some of, if the other two hadn't hogged all the words - The Wonder Of You.

I'd also like to hear Darius sing With One Look. I'd think he could relate to it too.

 

I know it's sung by the female lead in Sunset Boulevard but I've heard Michael Ball's version and it works very well for a guy too.

Love that song - never heard it before!!! I can imagine Darius singing it.

 

Another couple I can imagine him singing are in yet another genre - country, tho not "yeehaw" country!!! In fact, other than being sung by Garth Brooks, they could fit most genres!! The 2 I'd love to hear are The River and The Dance - it's the lyrics of both that do it for me, and they're something that I reckon Darius could get the emotion across in really well.

 

Ronan Keating has made a career of picking really good country songs that a lot of people have never heard and making them 'mainstream' (like If Tomorrow Never Comes by Garth Brooks - again!!). Not that Darius needs anyone to write songs for him, it's just the type of song I'd most love him to be writing - like the B-sides we've all loved so much.

It makes perfect sense to me.

I could hear him sing The River without the country catch in his voice. IMHO The Dance is maybe too emotive at this time.

Is Bring Him Home not a tenor song?

 

I think new fans from MT and PSTOS will expect Darius to do some/a majority of covers like crossover artists always do.

 

Perhaps the latter do that, because to be eligible for the Classical charts , albums need to have 60% recognised classical material.

 

Do not tell me Darius wants to write a whole album, post PSTOS. That's going to take time and knock the release date back into the later stages of this year.

 

Has he never got the simple connection that everybody else seems to know :-

 

Raise awareness and then act and act again and again on the basis of it.

 

There's no pressure on him to make a 100% Darius album right now, unless it's internal and vitally important to him.

exactly, I personally would love an album of cross ovr etc, I thought the album was more or less ready to roll, I hope he doent start over! I go tthe impression he had rejected songs enough as it was!! if he's to much the perofectionist, nothign will ever get done
