March 30, 201015 yr Perhaps old Scots songs should come with subtitles in English. There are also some wonderful sacred songs, Scottish Paraphrases (of the Psalms), which have all but disappeared because only a few were retained when the hymn books were updated and more modern mission praise songs took their place. I do wonder if Darius could get his tongue around "the Gaelic" which is notoriously difficult. I'd love to hear him try.
March 30, 201015 yr I loved Ae Fond Kiss as he sang it back then but with the new singing and more especially breathing techniques, Darius learned from Rolando and Katherine, I think it would be absolutely stunning.

June 13, 201015 yr Sure that Darius is going to take his time with the new album, the last thing he needs right now is an album that is going to be a flop. He shoots himself in the foot when he keeps saying that the new album is ready to come out, better off saying nothing about it, than coming across as unreliable, at the worst

June 14, 201015 yr Author tbh I am honestly wondering if there will ever be a third album, I cannot beleive all this pr coverage he has had and no sign, most people use any coverage they can to launch an album, hate to be pessimistic, but I am finding it very odd indeed, I have almost resigned myself the fact an albm may never appear and hoping he does live gigs or musicals, so at least I can see him and hear his voice,

Darius committing to a long run of panto at Christmas(has he confirmed officially?) doesn't bode well for an alledged album release and tour this year IMO :( It's wonderful seeing him do all these different things, but it would be so much more incredible for him to go back to basics and perform some gigs of his own music, live! Maybe we'll get a nice surprise and all our worries will be proved wrong :)

June 14, 201015 yr I'm with you Sue. Half expecting snippets and small gigs towards the end of the year and the album shortly afterwards. I wonder if it'll be released physically or on his site?
June 14, 201015 yr The panto isn't until December but I wouldn't mind if he left it 'til after. Funnily enough, I don't think he'll be asking my opinion though.
June 14, 201015 yr I have to agree with PIP on this because the POSTOS phase of promotion has now passed to some extent which is a shame as I have met several people who say they loved him because of that programme but what will they expect of an album, not pop I feel and therein lies the difficulty of promotion in which direction. they liked the real tone of his voice and I have to agree. It doesnt mean opera but I hope he sticks with the michael buble type he has mentioned in the past.His real voice has such a rich sound which I feel to the gen public does not come over in pop songs, but the decision will be his, just dont want him to get it wrong. I just wonder how he will get the promoting of it across.
