yes - I wonder what happened all that time, and if there are any other hidden songs somewhere..

Sometimes they aren't really aware of the royalties for months until the account comes through.

Well, at least we've been able to make up album's worth of b sides while we wait for the next to come.

 

IMHO apart from you know which one, every b-side which Darius (co)wrote would have made a great album track.

There - a new income for him - even though we still have every one already. A couple of new 'b' sides would go down well on it

I think the B sides have gone well on my space and DM and cant understand why the songs on my space and bebo now seem to be songs that have been released and heard a while when a number of people other than us appeared to love the songs that were b sides, I think they showed his creativity and that a number were written SOLELY by him and give the public a different side plus the new songs on DM.

What I don't get, is when he adds one of the singles whose video is on the same page.

 

I know there was somebody who kept asking him to put KL on the player and somebody asked about CB too, so perhaps he's showing that he reads and responds to comments.

The myspace page isn't really for us, they're for people not familiar with his music. I's unlikely we'll ever get the likes of 'Now or Never' on there again. It's the beginning of getting ready for the next album

But won't people be expecting the 3rd album to be similar, yet Darius has said quite clearly it won't be.

I don't mind if the third album is different so long as I like the songs. I loved the demo ones. My favourite is Save Love.

Save Love was an instant favourite for me. Laughing In tHe Rain is like Stars Crash Down in that if a snatch comes intomy head, I can't shake it off. I think Laughing In The Rain is the better song of those two.

 

I'd really like to hear the end of No More.

 

I wish Darius would reconsider and put one of them preferably Save Love on either Bebo or myspace. What harm would it do. They may not be representative of his 3rd album but are the othes on there?

But is he right, people must have liked the style of the other albums. I know people say you have to change and move on but if he goes down the jazz route I will be disappointed and he does appear to think a lot of devil in you because the producers heard it when casting for chicago and didnt realise it was a new song. I think his strongest forte is the melody and the hook/chorus.

Darius does seem to totally ignore any criticism of DIY, rather like he did GITM.

 

IMHO the jazz/swing thing is passe now and to go down that route alone would be a major miscalculation and not one the present fanbase would welcome wholeheartedly.
