Britney Spears shot her first video in years at a warehouse in Los Angeles on Thursday (July 19). The clip of the song, "Get Back," leaked online this week (really?). She is expected to preform at this years Video Music Awards. Her body newly toned and her smile beaming, she looked every bit like a woman who had emerged from her quarter-life crisis stronger than yesterday. Britney Spears' new music video "Get Back" was shot over a period of about 14-16 hours in a warehouse on 6th street in downtown Los Angeles last night. Our insider told us that the music video is unlike anything Britney Spears has done before, pointing out that the video has a very eclectic feel to it with a lot of vintage elements. In one of the sets, there's a drawing of Elvis on the wall and a little bit further down is one of Britney. There is also a night club set. Our insider says: "Not many people know how long this music video has been in pre-production. The entire concept behind the music video, which I cannot talk about was entirely Britney's idea, and this is the first time that she has been involved in it as early as the story board process, all the way to the production design and the casting as well. The only thing I can say is that this video is about "rebirth". She also did all the choreography for it. This is her baby and is excited for all her fans to see it when it airs. She has been working extremely hard even though many fail to give her credit for it." When we asked how the shooting went in general, our insider said: "A couple of extras were giving the crew attitude on set, since they were asked to work pro-bono (for free), but apart from that and a few glitches, we were able to finish the video on time." UsMagazine.com confirms that Spears, 25, is shooting a new music video in an L.A. warehouse today. The video is her first in two years and is reportedly for her new single, "Get Back." This email was sent out earlier in the week: : Casting music video for major recording star! Please reply with a photo with your age, height and other specifics if you’d like to be an extra in a one day music video for an established major pop music star. We’re looking for attractive, hip, fashionable, and enthusiastic people ages 21 to 30 to act as bar patrons. The shoot hours will be 12 PM to 12 AM. Compensation is pro bono, however, food and drinks will be provided. This is a one day shoot with a fun and lively crew. A good time will be had by all! This is a great opportunity to be an extra in a big music video with a very well known artist. A confidentiality agreement must be signed if you are chosen. July 20, 200717 yr Author It's okay Boyan! I just merged the topics so we have everything in one now. ;) Wow, lots of information and pics coming in from the video shoot today! I've read that shooting was taking place from 12 PM to 12 AM so I think the whole video was being shot between then. Of course, I could be wrong? :lol: She could be just filming the portions where the back up dancers are involved. Oh, and rumor has it that Jake Nava is the director who also happened to film My Prerogative. ;) Anyways, wasn't Do Somethin' shot in like 4 hours or something if I remember correctly?
