Posted July 20, 200717 yr Thought I'd start a thread, even though there isn't any news at the moment (as far as I know). I saw Daniel at a one-off gig at Bush Hall last November where he showcased a lot of new material and there was some very good stuff there. Did anyone else go to that gig? It was a bit crazy, as there was a power cut and they played the first 40 minutes quite literally "unplugged", i.e. no mikes, no amplifiers, just vocals, acoustic guitar, piano and percussion. Then the power came back on. Anyway, since then, there's been nothing, no news yet. Anyone know anything re: what he's up to? And when are we going to get to hear his new material properly? Ah, I really miss him. Here's the best performance of IYNTO I've ever heard: S06_wsCo-ws

As to when Daniel is coming back, I've heard nothing like you Toni, I'm not a fan but he's a lovely guy and it's a shame his last album didn't take off.
July 21, 200717 yr Ohh I too really like him. When I was younger my friends and I used to go and see him on so many tours and talk about how attractive we found him at that point. I shouldn't admit that! Needless to say I listened to his music day in day out and I still own the cds and stuff, he's good.
July 23, 200717 yr I personally think his sister has more talent in her little finger than he does, but I did like some of his singles. My favourites were James Dean, Never Gonna Leave Your Side, Friday and Wrap My Words Around You. ^_^
July 23, 200717 yr I wonder when he will return with a new album. The last one didnt sell very well at all and the first one was a phenomenal success. Natasha's first album also did really well and the 2nd has failed to really set the charts alight so far.
July 23, 200717 yr He is coming back then? I don't think much of him tbh though 'Friday' was a brilliant song as was that 'Words' one from his second album.
July 23, 200717 yr i really liked him, went to one of his gigs couple years ago would love to hear new stuff
July 24, 200717 yr Great thread Toni. Can't wait for Daniel to come back - he's such a brilliant live artist, I don't know where he gets his energy on stage from!! Even if he's not releasing anything for a while yet, SURELY he must feel the need to get out there and perform ?? !! Pretty please??
August 22, 200717 yr Author Did a bit of googling after reading some news about him on another website and came across this article: http://www.nzherald.co.nz/section/1/story....jectid=10434738 I found this quote encouraging: After a three-year hiatus, following his album Second First Impression, Bedingfield now has three albums recorded and awaiting release. Well, if he ever manages to persuade his record company to give his material a go, then we might finally see and hear something new from him. :)
August 22, 200717 yr i didnt think he would have problems with the third album getting released as i know the 2nd album didnt do aswell as the first but itwasnt a huge flop either
August 24, 200717 yr In a recent April interview with the New Zealand Herald, the singer said that "after a three-year hiatus, following his album Second First Impression, he now has three albums recorded and awaiting release."[2] His first performance in his native New Zealand was on 19th April 2007, at the opening of Auckland's new Vector Arena - he sang three songs, including Gotta Get Thru and If You're Not the One. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel_Bedingfield
August 28, 200717 yr I personally think his sister has more talent in her little finger than he does, but I did like some of his singles. My favourites were James Dean, Never Gonna Leave Your Side, Friday and Wrap My Words Around You. ^_^ maybe its because he's so toally annoying. if he was a one hit wonder it would have been alright
