Darius showed off his acting skills in a stream of comic sketches on various TV shows.

Which ones do you remember best?

I love the Colour Blinds advert from Diggit. It was just such a great spoof.

His acting was brilliant. He was every bit the smooth, pushy americanised salesman, complete with 'Ring Of Confidence' and all the time he was singing he was making a pass at the houswife in the presence of her husband who of course wasn't noticing a thing. There were venetian blinds which changed colour behind him as he sang.

There were so many gems because he was prepared to really join in and have fun.

Blue, Atomic Kitten, Girls Aloud and Daniel B were great sports too. Any time they were on, you knew they'd have fun together.

I'm not sure if Daniel was on SMTV the first time that Darius was on with Blue but the football game(what was it called?) descended into absolute chaos with Darius and Blue bringing down Brian Dowling.

there are so many..

I liked the spoof of BB, where Darius ws evicted

and all the games he played - and seemed to always win! thinking of the recording breaking electric wire one when he didnt touch the wire .

The concentration on that was great. I don't think he'd have noticed if the ceiling caved in

Yes, he was Alex Sibley in that BB one, totally obsessed with cleanliness.

I remember H & Claire were in it to and I think they all made sock puppets for their 'task'

He was the keeper of the ringtones.

It was a competition they ran in the last couple of series I think. One celeb and one competitor in a team, trying to recognise recent chart hits from their mobile ringtones to win a top quality mobile. Darius won that every time he was on.

He was absolutely dire at the football game in SMTV. I don't think he ever scored one goal. One week they took pity on him and changed it to a rugby goal and Glasgow Academical's finest from the first 15 ..................

missed every time!

But there was the very considerable consolation of seeing him in a scrum with some genuine English International Stars and Brian Dowling.

Another sporting one which was brilliant was his ice skating date with Fearne.

What about when he played the psychiatrist

Another favourite moment was when Ruby Wax had Darius pinned on the floor and was on top of him.

The psychiatrist.............was that the one where he wore the glasses and looked not unlike Clark Kent? I loved that one too.

It was a spoof of Footballers' Wives. I think they called it Table Footballers' Wives.

I've always remembered the sketch because at the time, very early in his solo career, I thought "wow!" He was absolutely believable - looked the part and nailed the New York accent.

I wonder who wrote the sketches they did on that show.

he really was a class act on these programs, what was the one on bbc2 with him fighting with the puppet? the female presented was thanking him as it went to anohter part of the show, and you could hear her saying how great he had been..I loved all those shows he really put his all into them nothing was too uncool , unlike a lot of them who didnt really join in or just had nothing to say - mind you there were a lot who were good too..I expect that was part of the problem with those shows ending..not many pop stars left willing to go on..its all way too cool and indie now to go on a kids show..

I enjoye those show so much - but I'd have really liked him to have been on adult music shows as well.

He was great on the Brian Conley show but that was more of a general family show than an adult music one.

yes, I think those times have gone, he has grown up since then. you can over do it being the "funny" guest and end up looking rather sad. He is usually very entertaining on the adult chat shows though, shame he (unlike some) is on so rarely..some programs on I think have run out of new guests, or they are just re interviewing their circle of friends..thinking of JR - Daiurs was great on there. and the Kumars..wel on all of them actually, the more I bring them to mind, the more I smile

I think the evidence from Chicago and Guys and Dolls is that he has the timing to deliver well written comedic lines.

I can't see him ever being a stand up, but I could see him tackling comedies as well as dramas and musicals.

I'm looking forward to his first non singing role (and, no, I really don't want him to give up the singing but, he could do both)
I just thought he did the acting so well in G&D. As long as he did seperate gigs, I'd be happy. It it were either or, it'd have to be the singing.

Is the (Colour) Blind Date with Atomic Kitten still on youtube. That was really funny. I just loved their date in 'Paris.'

It's a shame Atomic Kitten broke up. They were a bunch of fun loving girls who didn't spend months changing their weight and image for their record company. Similarly I've always had time for Sugababes because they were natural.

GA have been really lucky in that respect, they always had really strong songs when they got original ones. I wish I could say the same for their live performances.

There used to be a youtube clip of a couple of GA in the love lift scene with Darius.

I liked little Sam in that sketch.
