I enjoyed all the shows I saw in Edinburgh more than the two which I saw in Liverpool, although the latter were very, very good. I think it was becauset that the audiences were more demonstrative..

It was a fantastic company. I'm sure many of them had come from the West End production.

The cast was more relaxed as well - probably because the audience reacted to all of the jokes.

I wonder if Scottish ears were more attuned to the speed of Miss Adelaide's New York accent, because we speak quite quickly.
She did say that some of the Liverpool people didn't understnd what she said in the New York accent.

Tomorrow I'm going to play some of my old tapes.

The video/DVD recorder I've been coveting has come down by two pounds.

Maybe I could treat myself to it just to celebrate my son's birthday.

I mean, with him being abroad and all, maybe I could make him a DVD of all his special VCR tapes, BB camp, graduation, the episode of Taggart he was an extra in etc.

Amazing how a new perspective looking at something makes such a difference. I'm convinced now that I owe it to my son to get it.
You do indeed owe it to your son to get it.

I'll do the decent thing and wait until I've bought and posted his birthday card and present.
