After seeing almost universal rave reviews on YouTube I'm much more inclined to think this is heading for #1 :o

A blessing in disguise that the previous single didn't catch on.

This is the best thing to happen to dance music for a long time and really gives something to build on. No gimmicks, no sexy girls video. Just serious, classy and great sounding dance music.

I agree with that comment 100% and I couldn't think of a better person to give dance music a well needed kick up the backside

I'm a tad worried that this will be an all time great No.2 record if Kanye West gets released on downloads at some point in the next 7 days as he might beat her to the top :(

Why is everyone talking about this Kanye West record?? I aint even heard it!!

I reckon Robyn will be around number #3

Its surprisingly excellent :o

Its sort of an electro-urban record which samples Daft Punk's Harder Better Faster Stronger which was released in 2001 but didn't chart in the top 20 (perhaps it was ahead of its time?)

anyone who can make a statement like this pile of fluff is "the best thing to happen to dance" obviously really doesn't go clubbing too often.

In fact - even calling this 'dance' - nah, sorry..... it aint. It's pop - out and out cheesy pop.

Of course, it'll be massive - charty dance fans who bought bilge like Cascada will love it. Serious dance fans will avoid it like the plague.

Yeuch.

Yep, those who go clubbing to mindless sh!t like Axwell will hate the Robyn song, and i'm sure when she's sitting pretty at number 1 she'll be gutted.

A serious  to you Russt seriously. Hopefully by now you should know I am something of a "serious" dance fan [a la not all this skimpy girl cheesy dance music] even though I have NOTHING to prove to you.

I disagree with you entirely with this song, its actually a fairly heartfelt decent dance song that doesn't use buxom, scantily-clad women to sell a song that's had little thought go into it. Robyn's a real pop talent for serious and non-serious music fans a like.

I wish you'd back away from this whole "serious dance fans wouldn't like this" malarky. :(

Does anyone sense another 10 week chart run at #1 with this track

Not quite, 3 at the most I reckon ^_^

Yep. This'll sell a bucketload next week but then calm down after that...

It's great that dance video producers seem to be (sometimes) backing away from the vile sexism that has ruined dance.... but this song is, at best, an inoffensive little pop ditty. It's SO far removed from dance music... and as a fan of dance music, well, I'm sure you're aware of that.

And real bona fide 'serious' dance fans WOULD give this a wide berth - really they would. And quite rightly so.

Jark, you're of the unfortunate mentality that anything at number one, or is sold to the masses, is 'good' - I mean, your whole list of musical likes reads like a Woolworths bargain bin.

I would, of course, expect things like Axwell to totally fly over your head.... it's not pop, it's not cheesy - and thankfully, you just don't 'get' it. You talk about mindless clubbers as if you've ever BEEN clubbing, Jark.... I don't think Yates's R'n'B chart nights constitute as clubbing, really, I'm afraid.

The same way you didn't 'get' Bjork on another thread.

You're a very young pop fan - that's about it, really. If you think that's patronising, so be it...... your comments on this thread and especially the vile ones you made to inflame other posters on the Paul McCartney one will always betray your age and mentality - and should be patronised.

I'm not under the impression that anything at number 1 is good whatsoever, you fool! However I can see that Robyn is good dance-pop, even if I've yet to warm to the song 100%.
I can feel the love in this room, just because the mods are on holiday, there is no need for all this.
Can we please keep in mind that the purpose of this thread is to predict the chart position for the track, no need for name calling from anyone. If arguing continues it'll end up closed. -_-

an apology, please.

for once again resorting to puerile name-calling whilst in discussion. It's not the first time - but it will be the last.

A swift read of the Buzzjack codes of conduct would suit you well, Jark.
