Lead singer Roland Gift formed FYC with 2 ex members of ska band the Beat.

 

They were a mid 80's pop/soul band who had a series of hits like, Johnny come home, suspicious minds, Ever fallen in love, She drives me crazy and Good thing.

 

I think when they spilt Gift tried to get into the acting business. :huh:

i liked them!

 

i thought their cover of 'suspicious minds' was very good (unusual for me to rate a cover).

 

'she drives me crazy' was good too.

She Drives Me Crazy is a good song..it amuses me as well. :)

I liked She Drives Me Crazy and Ever Fallen In Love and actually, I quite liked Suspicious Minds, considering it was an Elvis cover :)

nah dont think so as he was in Scandal and that was 1988/9 wasnt it and they were charting in the 1990s.

Great group, i loved their version of Suspicious Minds too.

Johnny Come Home was also a great track.

my faves suspicious minds, and ever fallen in love. one or both ? of FYC went into the dance scene in the late 80's and formed two men and a trumpet, had a top 20 hit in 88

Ever Fallen In Love was such a $h!t cover. Some of their songs were really good but I absolutely hate Roland Gift's voice. It sounds like he's singing out the back of his throat or something. I think the time is right for some decent covers by people who can actually sing. Good Thing and She Drives Me Crazy and Johnny Come Home were really good.
