Know any great sleazy scandals in Eurovision past?

 

This months word reports about France having the lyrics to their song but not the tune, Serbia and Montenegro falling out with each other over their choices and "Moldova's Loco has become a Eurotrash scandal because Arsenium, the male half of the duo, has been outed as a gay masochist into rough sex" (The Word p66). Oh and Daz is meant to be very dodgy as well it has been reported.

Well for me personally, 1998 was a scandal when Israel won :angry: and beat the UK by six points and Malta by seven. Us and Malta had amazing songs that year, Dana International didn't compare at all imo -_-

Also, another would be when four contries won in 1969 and some countries pulled out for a year or two until a new rule was introduced.

 

And another, in 1997 there was a preliminary round where five countries had to be evicted in March as the numbers were too large. As a result, Germany were one of the countries and they were not pleased, as they put a large sum of money into the EBU. They threatened to pull out for good and from 1998 the Big Four rule was introduced.
