They have already invaded the whole continent, including France, and it's pretty scary :( Hope they won't do well in the UK!

They won't do well here, i like them but i don't want them to be famous here. They are huge and have been huge in germany/austria for the last couple of years.. they have recently gone to france and are doing ok but i don't that they are doing spectacularly, i wouldnt say that they were big anywhere else tbh

And they've got a huge fanbase here (I don't know why though), everytime they're on TV you can't hear them sing coz the audience is screaming soooo loud!

This is really the worst thing that could have happened to UK this year, I hope for you they will disappear as quickly as they appear :P

And they've got a huge fanbase here (I don't know why though), everytime they're on TV you can't hear them sing coz the audience is screaming soooo loud!

This is really the worst thing that could have happened to UK this year, I hope for you they will disappear as quickly as they appear :P

 

Dunno what your problem with Tokio Hotel is tbh... They're a far better, and more credible, Pop act than stuff like Avril, MCR or any of that other bogus Manufactured Pop/Reality TV rubbish.... At least they do write their own songs....

 

And frankly, I dunno what this thread is even doing in the Indie Forum in the first place... Tokio Hotel are a Guitar POP band, you go to Germany I somehow doubt you'll see their records in the Metal or Hard Rock section.....

I just don't like them, there are so many better German acts that I would like to see go worlwide, and I don't get why it's that teen-ish dull band.

Tokio hotel are my favourite and have been my favourite band for quite a while ! ive knew and been a fan of them whilst they were only well known in germany and only a handful of people knew about them in the uk. i think they are a brilliant band !

Im so glad that they are finally releasing material into the uk but i prefer there german songs as the meanings of most of the songs kinda got lost in the translation from German-English

 

I went to there first uk gig in june and it was amazing !!! even though 3 quarters of the crowd were from the rest of Europe it was still brilliant .

 

I think people should give these lads a chance Because personally i think they are something special !

oh, yes i agree about that, i'v been to germany quite abit and they are pop music there, they are also viewed as being music for a more child/teen audience there.. but i personally think that compared to most music which is around/ out in the uk at the moment they are alot more rockier, so that is why i put them in this section. I thought that the english alternatives of those two songs were released in france? My sister lives there and she is a fan of tokio hotel, due to living in germany a few months ago and she told me that their english songs were all over the radio there. I'v not seen them on any UK tv shows, does anyone have any youtube links? I can't see them doing too well due to the single being released so soon and it doesn't sound as good in english, i just think there songs are songs which shouldn't be translated, they should just come up with new fresh ones but... they can't really speak english, if they do want to get successful here, they really will have to learn how to speak and wrie good english songs, which i think if they did, they would be capable of... i personally would love for them to release german songs her and for those to do well over the english ones, but the uk music scene doesn't work like that so meh :lol:

I just watched the scream video, it is almost the same as the schrei video but the song sounds rubbish in comparision, the word scream just doesn't sound right, they should have kept schrei (or however it is spelt haha) but yes bill is still fit =D
