Have a great holiday, Nina.

I should be getting really excited about going to the shops for bread and stuff. OO can't wait.

I hope you've got a power saw. It took me ages to dispose of tree branches when I had to use an ordinary wood saw.

My husband has put my ordinary saw some where. I have been using a very unsuitable one. It just doesn't want to go right through anything wider than 6" Still, it's done now. The garden still looks even more of a mess than usual.

Dave hates that. I'll have to spend the rest of the week trying to find all the twigs.

I can't think of a simple way to do it except for maybe one of those garden blowers that double as vacs.

I tried rakes but none of the ones I had or borrowed did much good.

He's got one of those. Do all men lock the electrial non kitchen equipment away or is it just mine? I wouldn't mind but it's usually mine anyway as he just doesn't use things like that.

Have a great time with Michael, dd.

I've never understood why men like to drool over the specifications of gadgets, collect as many as possible and then never use them. It's a mystery.

Is it part of their genetic make-up? Can they just not resist it?Did the cavemen discuss the finer points of their prey before they hunted them down?

mine locks tools etc away too, it takes me ages to find out which hiding hole he has put anyting I may need..he dosent think I woul d need things while he is at work..even finding a screwdriver is like treasure hunt- and couldnt get the spirit level yesterday.argghh..he found it where he had put (hidden it) but said he didnt realise I would ever need one..makes me so angry, because most times you know you could do some job or other..IF you knew where the tools were kept, he has so many hidy holes he puts things. and that is so frustrating. I even spent ages prising the lawn mower from the back of the shed yesterday..because he had put it under everything..he couldnt understand why I needed to mow the lawn as he would have done it at the weekend..whereas I wanted it done in case it rained then.

Mine doesn't use them - just collects them. It's particularly infuriating when he's away.

I may have not got to the thread yet, but how did Andrew do. I'll carry on looking in case I find an answer further along.

At least if I buy a gadget for my kitchen I'll use it over and over. I've had my Kenwood Chef for ages. It's not the sleekest of gadgets but it sure does do its job.

I've got a very small paint stripper and an equally small sander - both locked away goodness where.
