He turned the internet off. Because I have to watch each print through, he thought I wasn't on it. He's fine with binding them. It gives him a fiddly job that he knows I really appreciate. He'd hate the 5 mins of paper flexing until the paper is flexible enough to go through with each sheet.

I think I'd hate that too. I'm not a very patient person.

I think I'll have to do a full scan of this tomorrow. I'm having problems with it going very slow or freezing and then not being able to get back online, getting an error message about access being denied because of the wrong username/password. I did a quick scan but there was nothing other than a few low level tracking cookies.
Going for the papers but neither Pam or my father-in-law are up yet.

Oh yes I was.....got up at 9:15 :P

Mines slow at loading...must do scans and checks more regularly :(

I'm quite bad at maintaining performance. I can't remember when I last defragmented - it's such a boring process. I know i should set up a task schedule to do these jobs when I'm not using the computer but I prefer to have things unplugged when I'm not using them.

She wasn't up. Mine can be a pain. I must copy this years pics off as backup

Right now I came online to seek info about CORGI registered tradesmen in my area. My gas fire's playing up and I need to get it dealt with/replaced soon. If it needs replaced, I'll have to figure out whether to put in a radiator or a new fire. They both have attractions.

we had to have a chimney sweep certificate when we updated our gas fire a few years back, as our chimney had never been cleaned.

I've never heard of that before. I don't think I'd know where to start looking for a chimney sweep. He's not exactly the kind of tradesman friends and family are likely to have used recently, so I'd probably have to go online, find those in the locality and play eenie, meenie to choose one.

Some of the drain clearing kits have a chimney sweep brush added in. You could become a sweep.

No thanks. Filthy job. I remember watching my Dad cleaning out the flue. he used to do it regularly when we had a coal fire.

I can still smell soot whenever I think about it. It had a very distinctive smell.

Do you remember the smogs we used to get? They definitely had that smell, kind of sulphury?

I remember not being able to see ANYTHING. Everything at a stand still and not knowing which was the front or back of the vehicle. That was the only one I can remember.

The joy of industrial city life !

I guess I should be out raking up the rest of the leaves. It's a beautiful day but I've got that mid-afternoon dip just now. I was busy lugging a load of stuff to the council dump this morning and then I went out for lunch. I feel really tired just now. If the weather keeps up and I perk up, I'll go out and do it but right now, I'm not going to push myself.

We had frost yesterday morning.....my son was after my de-icer.....never has his own
I should be going to Tescos to get the weekly shop. My fridge is empty.
