I'm off babysitting. They have told me they'll be back between 2 and 3. I intend to be asleep when they come.
Heck, that's worse than when I wait up for Claire to come home. The other week she phone at 1am to say she'd missed the last tube home and was waiting for the night bus. She arrived home at about 2.45am. I couldn't stay awake that long and went to bed about 2am, leaving my hubby up and waking just after she came in.

He'll appreciate you more now.

It is nice to be back but I have to give credit to the backup site too.

Sorry about going AWOL yesterday. Lunch extended into a drink and chat followed by an impulsive trip to the new shopping centre and then dinner out too.

Wow, you're really living it up, Baytree.

I should be out in the garden working but I ache so much

from yesterday's session that I'm putting it off.

My life goes in waves like that. Sometimes I'm bored to tears and at other times I'm wishing I didn't have so many social events at once.

I don't think I'll be bored until mid- January at least. I'm beginning to panic about Christmas now. I hope I'm doing the right thing leaving most presents, hoping to be inspired in Paris. I've done the easy ones, children and people with a definite passion.

Wow! - You're really organised if you have already bought a few presents - I've only bought a couple of 'special' family cards and I thought I was doing well!!

Julie

I reckon I've got 14 or 15 presents in. I've also sourced all of the materials I need to handcraft most of my cards this year. If I run out of time, I'll buy some charity ones locally.

I'm also planning to recover my suite and freshen up the lounge. I've got the fabric in and having moved onto choosing a fairly neutral background colour for the walls. Today, I'm moving my sample painted boards around to see which colour I can best live with.

Phew BT! far too organised. I try to avoid Christmas.

We enjoy it but, I've cut back on presents and things. Until I'm earning again, I'm Scrooge. We do love that time of year though. We now have 4 generations of females singing carols while they cook.
Despite all the commercial hype which I dislike, IMHO Christmas is still a very special time.

And parents. Especially parents who are sill like little children at Christmas time.

But I do wish the shops and media would not push Christmas at us in October.
