Everyone gone? Serves me right.

I should be retiring for the night but I'm too wide awake and I couldn't spend another sleepless night wondering about Chicago.

I've got to go to the shops - I got side tracked. My Mum is watching my father-in-law. He thinks they are putting his name and address out on the TV with details of dolls houses he made. He also thinks the blankets are covered with thousands of little bugs. Not a good day. Thank goodness Mum is well today.

not good.....must be horrid to think you can see bugs everywhere

eerrr did he ever make dolls houses?

He did make dolls houses - but they weren't talking about him on TV - or Dolls Houses either. We know seem to have a grey and white cat and he's rushing around the house because we've moved all his things and the rooms in the house.
My father went like that once and all it was, was dehydration and an infection. An overnight or 2 in the hospital and he was right as rain.

I think it's just senility. He was seeing water falling down the walls and along the floor, smoke coming up, 6 children in our dining area, a choir singing beautiful music out the back, continually and has decided not to eat or drink. I never did get to the shops as he became very aggresive and I couldn't leave my mum with him. He's still convinced that he walked miles and miles from somewhere to this house at 2am this morning and that he has to go out and find keys to let people in.

I'm giving him a sleeping tablet tonight and just hoping it makes him a bit more stable. They certainly helped pull him round after his stroke.

Hope today is better Meg. Urine/kidney infections in the elderly can do funny things to the mind. My mother-in-law used to go very odd when she had one. She also hallucinated quite a bit in hospital just before she died.

Hope it gets easier Meg.

There's nothing I should be doing. Shopping was great. I'm really pleased.

I went to see the Golden Compass- much better than shopping.

I would like to see that and a few others

Mr Magorium's Emporium

Enchanted

Bee Movie

Did you see Stardust...that was good

I'm back to should be in bed. My father-in-law was much better for most of the day but went of again this evening. Sleeping tablets really do seem to help. When he really improves, we have to stop them as he's then very groggy in the mornings - which he isn't when he has them when he is really bad.

At this ungodly hour, I too should be thinking of going to bed but I think it will take me a couple of nights to be able to just switch off and get back into a more regular routine after a run of late nights.

I'm a night owl anyway so it won't do me any harm.

Well I'm off to work as soon as Stephen moves his van out of the drive...catch you later

Hope so, but I'll probably miss you because I'll be out all evening.

I should be making something for my lunch but I'm still waiting to be inspired. I'm beginning to wish I'd had some in the garden centre I nipped into after church today.
