Analysis

 

Some changes this week but no change in the Music DVD No.1 as Embrace spend a second week at the summit with Delta bringing up the rear following a climb back to No.2!!! The album chart has no new entries this week but nine albums are seeing gains this week!!! Mariah Carey, DHT, Delta, Shakira and Kelly Clarkson all jump up the chart with former No.1 albums as does Corinne Bailey Rae’s eponymous debut album!!! The top 5 begins with Now 63 which dips to 5th place from No.2 while No Doubt’s Singles collection is the first of three climbers in the top 5!!! Former chart toppers from The Veronicas and Carrie Underwood climb a place each the latter back to No.2 which means that with relative ease Nerina Pallot scores a 4th week at the top with Fires!!!

 

The singles chart sees its lowest turnover for years with just two songs different from last week, one a re-entry...that is German country band Texas Lightning with No no never. Macedonia’s Elena Risteska scores the only new entry this week with Ninanajna which goes in at No.14!!! Dannii Minogue, Nerina Pallot and Beatfreakz post climbers this week with songs from Kate Ryan, Carrie Underwood and The Cardigans dipping out of the top 10…Estonia’s Sandra jumps to No.10 in the most international chart I’ve had for a long time!!! Delta Goodrem is down to No.9 with her former No.1 Together we are one while Carrie Underwood’s long running top 5 hit I ain’t in Checotah anymore returns to the top 10 at No.8!!! Gnarls Barkley slides to No.7 with Nerina Pallot’s Idaho sticking at No.6…Embrace dip a place with Nature’s law while the UK Eurovision entrant Daz Sampson jumps to No.4 with Teenage Life!!! Infernal drop from No.2 to No.3 and are followed by last week’s No.1 from Nerina Pallot which means there is a new No.1 for Sweden’s Carola!!! The first Eurovision song of 2006 to make it to the top!!!

Another fight in the upper echelons of the singles chart last week's top 2 Nerina and Carola battle once again with Nerina's next single Idaho also doing well. Otehr significant songs look set from Sandra, Beatfreakz and Daz Sampson but who can be No.1...

 

The albums chart No.1 looks safe for Nerina for a 5th week but Carrie Underwood and The Veronicas are still close behind with a new entry from Soda Club looking likely...

 

You won't regret getting Nerina-is a fantastic album
