i wonbder when we will hear it

There's going to be a feature on them this Friday (3rd August) on the Richard Arnold (GMTV) show. It says it is doing a 'Take That Special' so I'm assuming it may feature a snippet of the song.

Richard Arnold's show runs from 8.35 - 9.30 am.

Well that was poo! Not a mention. I hate GMTV for this - this is twice they've said there was going to be some sort of TT thing and it was delayed! Just to ensure they'd get extra viewers! Pants to Richard Arnold!

So no one has heard it yet then i take it??

Well a couple of posters on IMDb (US ones) have seen it and one in particular has heard it and thinks its good though they'd never heard of Take That before. But no. No-one this side of the pond has heard anything at all!

its all about keeping us in suspence :P

Further news. Although the song is featured in the film, it isn't actually on the CD soundtrack. Maybe its all make-believe and Gaz & Mark gate-crashed the Stardust premier parties in LA!!!

I am glad it is'nt on the CD soundtrack. It means people will buy the song only for Take That as i am sure it WILL come out as a single anyway. Come on, its the MAIN theme B)

I think it is being released as a single in time for the start of their tour in October. I honestly didn't think it would be on the soundtrack CD (as far as I'm aware that has already been released - could be wrong though). I know that there are definitely going to be no further releases from Beautiful World.

i hope it def gets a single release and hopefully number 1 also

I'm quite certain it is to be released as a single (and if the media machine is to be believed - Matthew Vaughn is actually going to direct the video for it!)

Very suprsing considering it has Robert De Niro in it, who is arguably the best film actor ever. Tough competition though, but still suprising, Has it got bad reviews or something? I still can't get over that Jonathan Ross's wife wrote the film.

I didnt know jonathon ross wife wrote the film thats news to me

She wrote the screenplay from the Neil Gamain book. The film has been getting some excellent reviews (Variety being one of them) and excellent reviews from the public who've seen it at premieres, etc. However a lot of people on IMDb though, have said the trailer sucks and the marketing is very poor. It has a brilliant cast including DeNiro, Michelle Pfeiffer, Clare Danes, Peter O'Toole and Ricky Gervais.

First Friday night box office figures for the film aren't that good - $3 compared to Rush Hour's $18 - the price paid for poor marketing and lack of publicity. It may pick up over the weekend though, as word of mouth is putting out the message that the film is ACE!

However, those who have seen it (posting on IMDb) seem to be positively raving about the song Rule The World - they're US viewers so have obviously never heard of Take That before ... but they seem to love the song.
