Posted July 31, 200717 yr Report: Madonna Considering New Deal With Live Nation July 30, 2007 Madonna A report in the New York Post over the weekend suggests than Madonna could be leaving the Warner Music Group for a revolutionary new deal with Live Nation. The rumored deal could be worth $100 million and create a new entity to manage all aspects of the Pop superstar's career: album releases, touring, merchandise and sponsorships. Live Nation would receive an equity stake in the joint venture. Album distribution and marketing would still be done by one of the major labels. Madonna is working on her next studio album with collaborators such as Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams and Timbaland. The new album is tentatively expected by the end of 2007 and is her last owed to Warner Bros. under her current contract. Sources tell the Post that the Live Nation deal is the first step in negotiations with WMG for a new deal with the label.
