Posted July 31, 200717 yr His collaboration with Jim Steinman resulted in one of the largest selling albums of all time, Bat out of hell which sold over 37 million worldwide, and spent nearly 10 years on the UK album charts. Even after 30 years it still sells about 200,000 copies per year. Hits like the title track, You took the words right out of my mouth, Two out of three ain't bad. He released Bat out of hell 2, 15 years later having the hit I'll do anything for love but I won't do that. This album sold 15 million. Also has appeared in movies and on TV. I own up the having them in my record collection. :)
July 31, 200717 yr Me too ;) I'm a big fan of Meatloaf, he's larger than life and puts on some spectacular shows too! The last time I saw him, just a few months ago, he was on stage for two and a half hours! As he said, 'not bad for a 59 year old rocker.' Must admit one of my faves is Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad.
July 31, 200717 yr Who could forget Meat as Eddie, from that wildly popular cult film 'Rocky Horror Picture Show'? I don't have his albums, but enjoy his music nonetheless...
