Yes I agree! The reception to th first single has been v.good, better than I thought it would be I must say.

 

Not sure where the song will peak. Hopefully should go Top5, maybe even #1? We shall see.

To promote the album I guess. It's just a rumour, so it might not even be true.

 

Seems a while for the tour I guess but then The Rascals material is due to come out soon, and apparently Arctic Monkeys are in the studio (or have been in recently).

They're apparently booked to play Later With Joola Holland in the very neat future. :w00t:

The album cover is very gritty - keeps in style with the Arctic Monkeys cover, I like muchly. ^_^

Alex Turner has said making The Last Shadow Puppets' album with Miles Kane felt like he was having an affair behind Arctic Monkeys' back.

 

However, the rest of his original band loved the album and ended up getting drunk on red wine while listening to it.

 

Speaking to NME.COM, Turner explained: "I thought it were going to be like them finding a tape where you'd had an affair. Like your bird found an affair tape and was watching you having sex with another bird...but it weren't like an affair tape...not that I've ever made an affair tape."

 

The Arctic Monkeys' frontman added that his new collaboration does not mean he's bored of his old band, saying: "The dominant thing was just wanting to make a record with Miles Kane. I wasn't trying to f*** [the Monkeys] off at all. I love being in that band and they're my best mates."

On NME TV i just saw the video where they are walking past tanks (can't remember the name) and it sounded like they've just copied parts of muse's song knights of cydonia.
