The Last Shadow Puppets will not tour until October, it has emerged.

 

The duo, comprising Alex Turner and Miles Kane of Arctic Monkeys and The Rascals, are riding high in the midweek charts with their album 'The Age Of The Understatement'.

 

But talking to BBC 6Music this afternoon (April 23), Kane revealed that their day jobs mean fans will have to wait a little longer to see the boys perform live.

 

He said: "We're going to play live at the end of the year, in October. The Rascals' album is out June 9. We start doing loads of gigs now and festivals over the summer and September. Take a couple of weeks off then me and (Turner) will do four gigs in England, a few in Europe and a couple in America. Then I want to do a second Rascals album in November.”

Hmmmm not sure about that! As long as it doesn't turn into another Raconteurs then that'd be ok but the problem is can they make another album without it being a bit too similar to this one?

If they are only doing 4 dates I would imagine the tickets will be like golddust! Although 4 dates hints at enormadomes to me.

Only 4 dates? I hope they're big venues then...but I sincerly doubt it!

 

Not suprised that they're going to take their take with the touring though, will leave time for Arctic Monkeys to go back into the recording studio...

Even the academic old fogies on Newsnight Review were gushing about the album!

They'll be warm-up to The Cribs on the Friday on the NME/Radio 1 stage and I cannot WAIT to see them. :dance:

That slot is annoying :angry: Metallica and The Cribs was annoying enough but CSS clashing too just makes it worse :cry: I'm gonna go and see Metallica after LSP have finished at the mo though..

Sounds like they will be playing the album in full....plus a couple of other tracks. Should be special.

I'm not that big a fan of them. :lol: Although I do like a couple of their songs. ^_^
