September 9, 200717 yr Being frankly honest, I only see miming as a big deal if it's at a concert or a gig where people pay to see you sing live, miming on a tinpot TV show to promote a single isn't that big a deal IMO.

I disagree. If an artist I like (Sophie is an example of this) mimes when there is no kind of demanding dance routine or anything, I'm always really disappointed. When you can sing, there's no reason not to.
September 9, 200717 yr It's not really a big deal, everyone knows he's manufactured, he does have talent and he obviously can sing live, like many other stars out there. Unlike another great mimer (Rachel Stevens) it's actually proven that Shayne can indeed sing live, I suppose he just couldn't be arsed. :teresa: ^_^ How dare you insult Rachel, she can sing live she just never ever did :P

September 11, 200717 yr Shayne playing at Butlins already? thought he was a bit more popular then that but ok ;)
September 11, 200717 yr How dare you insult Rachel, she can sing live she just never ever did :P I'm sorry Martyn. :P I do love Rachel but I think that was half of her downfall, she mimed constantly despite being able to sing live which she proved on the S Club tours. However unlike Girls Aloud (who learned that constantly miming would get them slated), Rachel never adapted and even tried to sing live. :(

September 11, 200717 yr theres rumours shes starting to record a new album to be released next year so i hope she practices singing live so she can hopefully get some success unlike the C&GI era.... I would love that to be true, but there's been rumours ever since C&GI flopped that Rachel's been dropped and i've heard no confirmation either way. :( Everyone knows Rachel isn't the strongest of vocalists, can't really write, doesn't sing live, has no personality etc, etc. However, I really like Rachel and always have done, the music she has released thus far has been very enjoyable pop music and C&GI was much stronger than what Funkydory was, despite the latter selling like 15 times better. :(
September 11, 200717 yr well even if she doesn't come back to music i hope she does something like acting or presenting ;)
September 11, 200717 yr Well I would really prefer her to come back to music because like I said she doesn't really have the personality to be a presenter. :( I'm not sure how Rachel being an actress would turn out either... she'd be a good model, i'll give her that.
September 11, 200717 yr she was great in the Seeing Double movie!!  i think she may need to develop a new sound if she wants to make a music comeback....pop isn't doing to well at the moment :(
September 11, 200717 yr Back to Shayne.....................Why is everything around his promo appearing so cheap an tacky? Two words, Louis Walsh! Edited September 11, 200717 yr by fatmuffin
September 11, 200717 yr she was great in the Seeing Double movie!!  i think she may need to develop a new sound if she wants to make a music comeback....pop isn't doing to well at the moment :( Well it depends really, pop music is doing well if you look at people like Justin, Nelly Furtado, Fergie, Amy Winehouse etc. :P Back to Shayne.....................Why is everything around his appearing so cheap an tacky? Two words, Louis Walsh! I don't quite get you dear.

September 11, 200717 yr yer but Rachel is more comparable to people like Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Natasha Bedingfield who seem to be struggling :( Well as much as it pains me to say - I think Sophie is finished. :( *Waits for Aly to beat me repeatedly with his copy of TTLF* :( Natasha however has only released 2 singles off her album and it recovered surprisingly well after the initial bombing down the chart, so I will wait until the project is over before I judge. :P

September 11, 200717 yr I would have thought it would be the 8th of October since the single is released on the 24th of September. Albums nowadays are usually released 2 weeks after the single is physically released, plus Shayne's said on numerous shows that the album will be released after the singles. Cutting it a bit fine considering it's still untitled though.
