After parting ways in 2005, Grammy Award winning group Destiny’s Child may be set to reform. In a recent interview, the group’s manager (Beyonce’s father) Matthew Knowles strongly hinted at the possibility of another Destiny’s Child album:

Matthew: "But she's (Beyonce) a hard troop and all of the Destiny's Child ladies are. I'm proud of her and all of the ladies. I'm using this word "Destiny's Child" cause that could be the day so Destiny's Child album is coming soon. I don't know, did I just said it?"

This really doesn’t surprise me. It’s a given that the girls would record again somewhere down the line – they’re still in their prime. I felt their last CD, ‘Destiny’s Fulfilled’, was one of their best efforts and for that reason I’ll be checking for their new project whenever it surfaces. One small tidbit: It’s great to hear Matthew promoting Solange’s upcoming album, yet I couldn’t help but notice that he never mentioned a thing about Kelly’s CD. I’m starting to wonder if there’s truth to the rumours of Kelly severing ties with Matthew’s management company? Just thinking aloud…

Okay, firstly, the whole Mathew-Kelly fued rumours are absolute BULLSH!T! They see each other as father and daughter as she has publicly stated many times and he's promoted Ms Kelly really well for her.

Secondly, if this is true, AMAZING news ^_^ I miss them, they are the female group superstars of this planet.

Well I do like Destiny's Child a lot, but I prefer Beyonce solo. I wouldn't mind if they got back together though
Didn't they "break up" in 2005? It's too early for a "come back", imo.

Yeah but they broke in 2002/3 as well and got back together in 2004... soooo lol.

SMH. How predictable.

I thought they were just taking a break in 2002 for solo carearrs!!!!?????!!!! I think bee might do 1 more album and then get back together!

Why be so mean about them? They're well recognized as the public's favourite and most successful female group of this decade - they've made some amazing hits, Survivor and Lose My Breath for example. I think if they were to make a comeback it'd be as hot and successful as ever, and we all know that however good they may be solo those girls were born to be in that band.

it definatley wouldnt come as a suprise to me if they did get back together. hope they do, but i wouldnt be to bothered as i prefer Beyonce solo
Yeah Same here. Im happy either way if they got bk together or they didnt. But i will miss B's tour :(

It's hardly mean now, is it? It IS a predictable move!

And I'm not gonna get at you with the parts in bold because this is a Destiny's Child forum, and it wouldn't be right in turning this topic into one that debates who really is the public's "favourite" and "most successful" female group.

Well you know the alternative Dan, and that is if you find that 'formula' annoying then stop buying and listening to their music.

And good Martin, there's no need for a debate because sales clearly recognize that since the release of Survivor in 2001 no female group have sold as many records.

If you're only talking about record sales, Jark, then you're probably right. However, when I think of success I see it as much more than just record sales. It includes your impact in the music industry and the legacy you create & leave behind. So, if that's all you have to defend Destiny's Child with, then it says a lot I guess.

For you to say they're "recognised" as the "public's favourite" is utter nonsense, to be honest, because on dozens upon dozens of internet polls (Yahoo, Launch, MSN, UKMix, etc, etc) asking "who is the better group?" or "which group do you miss most?", Destiny's Child are the group that actually aren't at the top. I guess they aren't public favourite that much, eh?

I'm not slating them off. I'm a fan of Destiny's Child, otherwise I wouldn't be posting here ... they have done a lot for the music industry. However, they're not some untouchable girl group that you seem to be painting them out to be. They have their faults just as much as the next female group.

Anywho, back to the original point I made earlier in the topic - their "comeback" is predictable, IMO. There's nothing "mean", as you say, about that at all. I've even seen DC3 fans saying the exact same thing as me. The majority of folk saw this coming a mile off.

Well of course they did because DC have always said they'll reform at some point! However this isn't going to happen for a while as Michelle is on Broadway till September and Kelly is promoting Ms Kelly!
And Beyonce is working on her new album :cheer: and still promoting Bday so i wouldnt say anytime soon either :P

There's no actual news about Bee working on a new album  Just that silly rumour started. Shes touring and stuff so she wont have recorded anything for a 3rd album yet.
She could be writing the material :P on the quite again

If they are getting back together I dont think it should be for a few years yet.

do some more solo material first

Nooo - bands can't survive past a certain age, they look silly, where as you can troop around on stage solo for much longer. Go back to DC in 08 and then go solo again.
