will it include the videos for the fixation era? maybe the exclusive pure intuition video? the concert footage is taken from the miami gig which is probably the best gig to feature cause it had wyclef and alejandro there too. i'm sure we'll see footage from egypt, colombia and the date she and gustavo performed too. the documentry will be interesting too, more arguing with her manager  ah freddy demann you didn't last long trying to control shakira :nono: fire his ass!! i think he quit maybe

Expected Nov, 2007

Extras:

Expected Nov, 2007

Blueray is a bit like DVD, however its like they stacked 5 DVD's on top of each other. Result is that it holds 5-10 times as much data, and cannot be played in a normal DVD player.

The advantage is that this means the video will be HDTV! Which holds almost 6 times as much detail than regular DVD. The result...an unbelievable high quality video

I really Hope the Title changes Like Fixated Around the world or something :D

Thanks to mig123 for this great news about the Blu Ray:

Zeppelin, Shakira DVDs get high-def treatment

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Paramount Home Studios' announcement in August that it was dropping support of Blu-ray and exclusively siding with HD DVD is further evidence that the next-generation high-definition format war won't end anytime soon.

In this developing business area, where content is king -- and ultimately drives consumer adoption -- the news was huge. Now, two of the top eight film studios exclusively support HD DVD, while four still sit exclusively with Blu-ray. In total, six of the top eight support Blu-ray, while HD DVD is supported by four of the top eight.

Ultimately the move means the high-definition consumer has more to contemplate in an inchoate field that's already perplexing.

"There's a lot of consumer confusion about high-def," said George Feltenstein, Warner Home Video senior vice president of theatrical catalog marketing. "They're confused by the competing formats, and that's one thing we find disconcerting."

As the format war continues, studios and labels are grappling with the challenges of bringing to market high-profile, high-definition music titles. "Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds: Live at Radio City" on Blu-ray is being released Sept. 4. Upcoming high-def titles from Queen, Tenacious D, David Gilmour are hitting stores this fall, as are titles from Led Zeppelin and Shakira, which have the potential to appeal to new and broader audiences.

Warner Home Video will release Led Zeppelin's "The Song Remains the Same" on Blu-ray and HD DVD Nov. 20 for the first time, with all 14 songs from the original 1976 concert film. Expectations for the title, which includes never-before-released performance footage of "Over the Hills and Far Away" and "Celebration Day," are high.

"The traditional DVD sold very well, and by today's standards it looks and sounds pretty awful. So we can make, with the new version, quite an impact," Feltenstein said.

With Led Zeppelin, there's an opportunity to seize the attention of a demographic that doesn't have many titles aimed at them. "There's not a lot of product for anyone over the age of 25. It's very youth-oriented." Zeppelin crosses a wide range of demo groups "including kids today," Feltenstein said.

Reaching multiple, distinct demographics is also a goal and challenge for Epic in the run-up to the Nov. 12 release of Shakira's "Live in Miami -- The Oral Fixation Tour."

"This is different (from) putting out a DVD when you're targeting a fan base with a marketing message. (With Blu-ray) it's a multidimensional message," Epic senior VP of marketing Lee Stimmel said. "You're targeting that artist's fans and you're targeting the high-end early adopters who've bought into this technology, and when it comes to Blu-ray, you have the install base of the (PlayStation 3), which is a whole different demographic."

The Shakira Blu-ray DVD will get a national splash the night before its release date with screenings at theaters in the high-def format. The price of the Blu-ray release will be built into the ticket price for the screening, and fans will be able to take home a copy that night.

Firstly, don't know what's going on with those 3 extra songs...maybe they will be the video versions of LP and LDLI and a different performance of OUS.

Secondly, no mention of a documentary but it could still be included and it might not be listed because it's not a song.

Lastly, the audio CD seems pretty measly, but this is the DVD package. There could still be a CD with all the songs on a la MTV Unplugged.

New rumoured cover:

I love this image so much and would be happy for them to use it for the DVD, even though it's not a new pic.

interesting. where is pure intuition?! i am hoping Las de la Intuición is live but the chances of that are minimal. its more likely the video. the audio cd should have been live tracks from FO1 and OF2. i like the cover it is eye catching and original. i can't wait to but this!!
Obtener Uni Si << she did sing that live at some concerts... no illegal! She sang that live at mine! and it'll be good to get the videos of the other songs there... would have been nice if it included all the vids from the oral fixation era.. and i'd love that to be the cover, i have that picture on my bedroom wall  well a huge poster of it  The HD version of the DVD can't be played in a DVD player? and when is it out in the UK, same date?
Of november? Where did you find that out? I hope we get some kinda of promo for it here in the uk as it just won't sell.. as she only did only measly date.. only 3 songs got released and she only came over for promo once, so, personally i think it won't do well her but i would LOVE to see huge posters advertising this DVD, hopefully using the tour poster which is now supposidly the DVD cover, if so that would make some people just buy the DVD for that pic ^_^
Most of the OF era videos were already placed on the DVD that came with the FO/OF special edition that was released last christmas, so i don't think she'd put them on again. And I love that picture, but I prefer the tiny one a few posts above, where she was caught mid performance, it looks so hot :(
So will the quality of Blue-Ray be better then the dvd?
