Someone on a forum I post at who lives in the US has just told me that he was watching TV and saw Jamelia performing and the only way he knew it was J was because I post about her a lot (). He said the audience were going insane over the performance, too.

I'm thinking that it must have been picked up & shown in the US because I don't think Jamelia's over there, least of all performing.

It's amazing how her music is reaching the US though, because they've showed her music videos ("Something About You" and "Beware Of The Dog") over there, played some of her music in clubs, they've imported her 'Thank You' album and now they're showing her performances! It's like the US is screaming for Jamelia to release her music over there! It's incredible.

She has sooo much potential to be a worldwide success. I hope she finds a label that will support & promote her correctly.

WOW!!! Jamelia in the US :o I hope she trys to crack the US i want see how she will do

I think we must remember the US is an incredibly hard market to crack! Many an artist from Europe has gone over and had a massive hit on the Billboard Dance Chart (believe it or not they would class SAY as dance lol!) but flopped on the Hot 100 and therefore not had an album release.

If she were to release she would need to do what Natasha Bedingfield did - go over for a couple of months and build up a name for herself before releasing. She does have huge potential there though, yes.

Would be good if she got signed to Def Jam
What's so good about Def Jam?

Well they've done wonders for Rihanna's career for starters and Jay-Z would be a great minder for Jamelia ^_^ She's always said she loves his music and there's no doubt he'd give her the oppurtunity to do a great (and successful) all-and-out R&B album.

There are much better record labels out there for Jamelia, IMO.
In the US? Well, taking into account that Jamelia is an artist that likes to experiment with all types of music ranging from R&B to rap to rock, Epic Records perhaps, or J Records, or even Zomba Records. Akon's Konvicted label would be a good one, too.
I'd rather die than see Jamelia on that pervert's label :puke2: I agree about Epic though.

 ^

I'd love Jamelia to go with Def Jam.. Her career would shooooooooot off :D

Great ...

Nada, lol. :P ^_^

How you doing?

Fine thanks :D Im feeling really under the weather though, got a right old fever. :(

What about you?

I'm good. Tired though. I got to sleep at 5.30 this morning and had to be up for 8 because I was helping my mum clear her sh*t out into her new house.
