Regardless of what 50 Cent thinks, Kanye West says he's not blinking: His album will be coming out the same day as the leader of the G-Unit.

"The date Graduation is September 11, we ain't moving" West said Sunday night at the Beacon Theatre where he was waiting to perform with Lil Wayne

Kanye is embracing the friendly competition with the man he recently produced a track for (see "Kanye West And 50 Cent Set For Epic Battle: Both Releasing Albums On September 11"). The Grammy winner says two heavyweights coming out on the same day is monumental for the game.

"I'd rather come out on a day like that, up against 50 — where people are excited about going to the stores and it's an event and people talk about it — and be #2 on that day rather than come out and be #1 on a day nobody cares about," West said. "It's about things going down in history. It's not that much exciting stuff in hip-hop right now. I think people are going to make it more than what I'm making it myself. At the end of the day, I'm making music and I'm trying to sell."

UK Release dates: 10th September

USA Release dates: 11th September

50 Cent 1st single - Ayo Technology

Kanye West 1st single - Stronger

My moneys on 50 Cent tbh, certainly for America as I don't think Kanye West is viewed as as big a force as an artist

In the UK I think it could be either, possible Kanye West

But overall, who do you think will do the best?

Well Kanye in his prime but Fiddy's popularity is going to start falling now, so Mr West ^_^

Kanye will come out on top methinks!

I like both of em' but I think Kanye is more respected as a rapper than fiddy has & will ever be!

Kanye will come out top, he has a huge single that will be #1. :)

50 will clean up in America everything the man does gets talked about.

Kanye will sweep the uk depending on how "Ayo Tech" does over here.

But Worldwise 50 will win easy

This is tough to call. 50's popularity seems to be decreasing nowadays but his new single is a big single with a huge guest star on it, so I think might give him the edge in the UK.

Kanye should beat him in the UK though. Stronger's seems to be very popular over here at the moment.

50 Cent will beat him, as far as I know, people show more interest into 50 Cent then Kanye.

Kanye West.

50 Cent has released four singles now in the US and they've done nothing.

I've only heard I Get Money and Ayo Technology, IGM supposedly being the "street single for the fans" like Kanye West's "Can't Tell Me Nothing" and Ayo Technology being the official single going to radio about now....what wre the other 2?

Oh reet I've heard of those

Perhaps 50 is quite desperate then :o

His new stuff doesn't even sound like his old stuff

All got music videos, too.

I don't think anyone's checking for 50 Cent, to be honest.

That's probably the problem. He's in Ciara's new single over there and releasing this fourth single with Justin and Timbo, so I guess he's "bringing in the heavies" and hoping those are hits for him, enough to get people interested in his music.

Straight to the bank didnt flop, it got to #32 on the hot 100 :puke2: The rest did, though.
Yes but Kanye isn't exactly BOOMING over here though!
By 50's standards though, Jark, that really isn't that good of a chart position.
I know  I particularly loathe 50, he's a foul man. He said in an interview he lost his virginity at 12 to a 21 year old woman, but it didn't matter because he was 'ready'!
I don't like him as a person, but some of his songs are quite good. Not so much his latest efforts, but stuff from his "Get Rich ..." & "The Massacre" album.
Kanye by an absolute mile, over here anyway. There is little interest in Fiddy in the UK anymore and 'Stronger' will be massive upon release.
