August 5, 200717 yr Terry Wogan had a single out once. 'The Floral Dance', getting to number 21 in 1978. Denise Van Outen dueted with Johnny Vaughn for charity once, singing a cover of the Kylie/Jason track 'Especially For You'. It reached number 3 in 1998. Johnny Vaughn's voice was awful. To be fair, Denise Van Outen wasn't too bad. I think she was in musicals and stuff before she was a TV presenter. She also dueted with Andy Williams on a new version of his song 'Can't Take My Eyes Off You' which got to number 23 in 2002. Ant and Dec when they were known as PJ and Duncan.
August 5, 200717 yr Laurie Lingo and the Dipsticks - 'Convoy GB'. Radio one DJ's Dave Lee Travis and Paul Burnett in 'hilarious' 'Convoy' spoof. Mike Reid had actually been in bands before becoming a DJ (Just Plain Smith, Esprit De Corps), and carried on making them while he was a DJ. I think he even wrote a flop West End musical. Lauren Lavern was in indie group Kenickie (biggets hit 'In your car' No. 24) who had an album that reached No. 9. John Peel had a record label called Dandelion in the early 70s but, thankfully, had the good taste to release other people's efforts rather than his own!
August 5, 200717 yr Chris Tarrant and the rest of Tiswas got into the charts in 1980 as the Four Bucketeers singing the bucket of water song  What about Ant & Dec as Pj & Duncan they had a few hits in the mid 90's Jimmy Young(old radio 2 dj) even had 2 number 1's in 1955. Kenny Everett had 2 songs Captain Kremmen, and Snot rap
August 5, 200717 yr fx7ItHp9Lr0 Brown Sauce - I Wanna Be A Winner (1981) I can just imagine Noel Edmonds shopping around Record Labels with his Swap Shop colleagues and asking "Deal Or No Deal"?..... :D

August 8, 200717 yr Another one I found in my old collection today when I was having a sort through Steve Walsh - I Found Lovin' (remake of the Fatback Band classic) and Ain't No Stopping Us Now, I Found Lovin' made Top 15 in the chart in 87 so counts Steve was Britain's top club DJ and had shows on Capital Radio and Radio London so he counts
August 8, 200717 yr Well, in that case you have the three or so disco classics that Pat 'hair' Sharp and Mick 'who was he again?' Thingummy released between 89 and 90 or thereabouts. I think they did 'Use It Up and Wear It Out', 'Let's All Chant' and something else.
