In 2006 during the Australian Christmas Carols Delta made clear that she was working on a new album. It is expected it will be released late 2007 as in August 2007, Delta confirmed that the album WILL be out by the end of the year. Her video message can be found HERE

 

Goodrem wrote this in a diary letter to Dolly: "I'm hoping to release my new album in late 2007 [fingers crossed]." She has been recording in London with several writers like: Guy Chambers, Vince Pizzinga, Dr Luke, Tommy Lee James, Jorgen, Richard Marx, Shelly Peiken, Stuart Crichton and Brian McFadden. Delta Goodrem has been working in this album for quite some time working on it from as early as June 2006 .

 

According to ASCAP she wrote several songs. No song has yet been confirmed and some songs may have been written during her Innocent Eyes and Mistaken Identity recording sessions.

 

The most likely songs that could be on the album are songs that are listed as Delta Goodrem being the preformer. Other songs are listed that she wrote the songs. See below. As of March 7, Delta says there are no confirmed tracks on the album ruling out the possibility that 'Reaching Out' - a song many fans have heard a 1 minute clip of - is a confirmed album track. In May 2007, the Herald Sun reported that Delta Goodrem's fan base wants the album out before Christmas 2007.

 

In June 2007, Delta released some photo's to proof to her fans that she is working in the studio to finish the album. Also in that month TheMusic.com.au reported that Delta's A&R manager found a song for Delta in France which she recorded within a week a may be on the new album.

 

During July, 2007 three new songs were found on the internet by forum members. Songs that may appear on the album. The titles are: "Brave Face", "God Laughs" and "Your Bare Hands".

 

In July, 2007, the Herald Sun reported that Delta's first single from the album would be released very shortly. She will shot the video for the song in August in L.A..

"Pray for us" was the original ballad for commenwealth but together we are one was a last minute song they ended up using!

Noone knows, it's just one of the few songs that Delt aherself has mentioned.

There is also Fever which I think is confirmed too.

ZOMG Possessionless, I'd like blow up in a puff of blue smoke if no one ever heard it again, that'd just be dire. But if it's been reworked then maybe, just maybe it will appear. I don't know quite why it needed to be reworked by Brian but wasn't everyone saying it was written by him in the first place when it wasn't? I'm confused.

 

I was told what the new single is yes, it's not Believe Again though, as far as I've heard, but I'm like sworn not to tell anyone. It's so bad because I just can't ever keep my mouth shut. But the song I've been told it's not on that list above there and it's not a title I've heard about before last night.

It's not Fever no, seriously I have never heard this title before in my life and someone who has ties with Delta told me last night. They have the song, song title, writers, full lyrics etc.

It's not that great :lol:. I don't think knowing about the new single really makes that much difference or not... it has no affect on my life! I'm excited to have the new single out but I guess it will take a couple of months.

I'm really intriged about the people she's worked with.

I looked at what this Stuart C guy has produced in the past, and the majority is different remixes and then for dance acts such as Pet Shop Boys. I really wonder what they came up with.

Then there's the Delta/Brian songs, Together We Are One and Hollow No More are great tracks, so hopefully more of that rather than, love us, we're together, type things.

 

Hardly no mention of Guy Chambers? He wrote most of the second album so shocked at the lack of his name around, but I guess she doesn't want a repeat of Mistaken Identity....

 

So wondering who wrote the first single, I could guess maybe Vince? Or Delta Goodrem/Benenate Bridget/Gerrard Matthew team or the Natasha Bedingfield writers, Andrew Framptom/Steve Kipner/Wayne Wilkins/Delta Goodrem or a song with Mtawarira Audius as he co-wrote the highly successful Born To Try.

Just can't wait to get the album and read who did what etc. [as well as listen to the tunes obviously]
