DINNER WITH WILL WINNERS PART I

 

We are pleased to announce our first three winners of the brilliant Win Dinner With Will comp. They are Steve Keith, Angus Greenland and Denise Clinch.

 

Let's see who these guys would invite to their ideal party and what they'd eat...

 

Steve's ideal guests: Rupert Everett, fantastic actor; Gwen Stefani, amazing singer; Bob Monkhouse, he's funny!? and Princess Diana, sadly missed.

 

On the menu: starter is watermelon and Feta cheese on a bed of rocket; main is Parmesan and asparagus risotto (his speciality!) and dessert is caramel sticky toffee pudding.

 

Angus's ideal guests: Will Young himself, everyone's idol; Margaret Thatcher, inspirational leader; Dame Shirley Bassey, original diva and Noel Coward, urbane and sophisticated.

 

On the menu: starter is Asian Tapas; main is Aberdeen Angus Beef Fillet, roast and glazed and dessert is white chocolate and fresh coconut cheesecake washed down with a selection of champagne and fine wines.

 

Denise’s ideal guests: Will Young again (!), great singer; Stephen Gately, good entertainer; Barry Manilow, he's magic and Kirsty Clinch, her daughter

 

On the menu: starter is prawn cocktail, main is steak and chips and dessert is ice cream with white wine to drink.

I missed him off my list too. :lol: That will teach us that we need to state the obvious & not ponder over things for so long. Wish I'd thought to take a friend or my daughter for company as one of the winners did.

I have to say, actually, that it didn't even occur to me to invite Will. :blush: My party is all about my dad (who died 7 years ago) who was also a musician, so I invited guests that he and I would both like.

 

 

I agree with those who believe the winners were picked "out of a hat"...

 

so it didn't really matter what our choices were.

I had a feeling that it was how it would be. Random e-mails.

I'm quite happy with a random draw. Not everyone is good at these kind of competitions so it makes it a level playing field.

I think that too. The entries have probably put into categories then winners just chosen at random.

 

When do we get the next three winners? will it be every tuesday or a random day each week? I didn't really take in all the rules to the competition, I was too busy planning the bloody menu, :rolleyes: I hope we get a member that posts this time, or else we're never going to know what goes on on the night itself and I need to know! :cry:
