I thought the tour finished months ago but this is what was posted on their official forum

Scissor Sisters Wrap Up World Tour

After performing dozens and dozens of concerts, TV performances, and festivals on four different continents over the past 16 months, Scissor Sisters ended their Ta-Dah World Tour on Wednesday night at Manchester's M.E.N. Arena. They can finally go home and sleep, sleep, sleep.

The group will take a well-deserved break and make plans to return to the studio to record their third album. Expect a live DVD in stores this fall featuring the band's performance at London's new 02 Arena, music videos, rare TV clips and a behind the scenes documentary.

It is interesting to look back at the past year and see what has happened to Scissor Sisters. I remember there was so much anticipation about "Ta-Dah" last summer before the album came out. And when it finally dropped, many people felt it didn't live up to their expectations. It was supposedly too Elton, too frilly and too much rehashing of their debut.

I am not sure if it was a sophomore slump per se. The expectations were probably way too high. Particularly about the group's chances to break into the pop charts in the United States.

Nay-sayers in America should note that Scissor Sisters are still a unique phenomenon overseas. "I Don't Feel Like Dancing" was on heavy rotation for months and month across Europe. You turned on the radio, and yes, there it was again!

In the end, regardless of "disappointing" record sales and critiques, what matters most is that Scissor Sisters have solidified their reputation as a fantastic live band that sells out concerts, remains musically adventurous and has continued to serve up music for their fans that is distinctly theirs.

In a music world ruled by strict formats and cookie cutter programming, Scissor Sisters add some much-needed color and vibrancy.

Think its gonna be a long time before we hear anything new from them though :(

I guess they deserve a break, I think they've been pretty much touring for the whole year with festivals and stuff.

Ana said they were going home to New York for a rest as they had been touring for 14 months - but not to worry as they would be back next year!!!
They'll probably do some small live shows next year, but I'm not expecting a new album until 2009!
