'Backstreet Boys' have 'no hard feelings' towards Richardson

Washington, Aug. 8 (ANI): 'Backstreet Boys' singer Nick Carter has said that he and the other members of the band do not have any hard feelings towards fellow Kevin Richardson, who is not a part of their sixth album.

The album, whose title has not been divulged as yet, releases on October 30, and the band's new single 'Inconsolable' hits radio this month.

Richardson had told other members of the band that he was sitting out of their next album during a conference last year.

His decision though shocked his bandmates, Nick insists that "everyone understood" Richardson.

"There were no hard feelings and that's just the way it needs to be. We've been through a lot in 14 years together, and there's no need to get angry or overly emotional," People magazine quoted him as saying.

Howie Dorough, another member of the band, said that everyone in the group is still in touch with Richardson, whose wife Kristin gave birth to son Mason in July.

"I just saw Kevin a couple days ago. He's got a glow that is unbelievable, and I'm happy for him. And he's happy for us as well - he's not bitter. He's totally like, 'I want you guys to do your thing and not have weirdness,'" says Dorough.

Nick also revealed that their new album features the usual Backstreet Boys fare that fans expect.

"Dance tracks, poppy rock songs, really beautiful ballads and R and B vocals. We're being what we are and have been for years. There are no catches. We just want to cater to the fans," he said. (ANI
