August 9, 200717 yr Not that much was good really. U2 were great. Queen and Bowie were also excellent but the worst had to be Dylan with the two Stones. Absolutely dreadful.
August 9, 200717 yr Have the DVD, and Queen put on one of the best performances I've ever seen, U2 were also brilliant ,despite Bono ruining it by walking out into the crowd  Can't really say who I think were the worst. Will have to think about it as it's ages since I watched it all.
August 10, 200717 yr i didnt really pay that much attention tbh, as i recall i was looking after my baby daughter whilst my then wife was at work...
August 10, 200717 yr I watched a lot of the Wembley performances up until 10PM and I taped a lot of it from Radio 1's coverage onto 2 & a half C90 cassettes. Queen were unquestionably the best act on the day. I naturally bought the 4 Live Aid DVD set when released this century and it was a better "global jukebox" than Live 8.
August 10, 200717 yr Author I thought Queen,Bowie and U2 were excellent. Of the rest I remember when Paul McCartney started singing the microphone wasn't working or something and others came on to save the day. There were some poor performances though, Duran Duran- Simon's voice breaking  , The Who were not at their best, Madonna
