Posted August 11, 200717 yr Music Impresario and TV presenter Anthony Wilson has died aged 57 of kidney cancer. Anthony was originally a local news reporter and presenter on the North West's regional news program Granada Reports. In the 70s he presented many current affairs programs including World In Action. He also fronted the music program So It Goes. Founder of Manchester's famous Hacienda club and Factory Records, he discovered some bands that went on to worldwide success such as: Joy Division (later to evolve into New Order), Happy Mondays, Stone Roses and The Cocteau Twins.
