Posted August 11, 200717 yr Released 9th October on Parlophone. :o Edited August 11, 200717 yr by Jark
August 11, 200717 yr OMFG, please say this is either 1) a bad joke, or 2) a nightmare. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO  Edited August 11, 200717 yr by Off_Da_Endz
August 11, 200717 yr Author It's all over Popjustice and UKMix, so its not just one user starting a trick; its a heavy rumour, apparently confirmed on the release schedule. No news on whether there'll be a single, but it's so her contract with Parlophone can be closed.
August 11, 200717 yr Parlophone make me sick. If I wasn't such a hard supporter, I wouldn't think twice about buying this mess. :coffee:
August 11, 200717 yr Author Don't rule this out yet :P If it is true, she'll at least have the GH she really deserves; it'll be the best way to wrap up her time with the label, which has included some brilliant hits. And in fairness, they did promote the sh!t out of Beware Of The Dog.
August 11, 200717 yr A GH package doesn't need to be put out at all - that's what I'm angry about. This is just another way of Parlophone to cash in on Jamelia some more. Who the hell has a GH package out after three albums (two out of the three weren't even that successful)?! Like myself, I can't see J being too happy about this. Who cares if they promoted "Beware Of The Dog" well? Damn right - it's their job! What about 'Walk With Me'? Did they promote that well? Nope. What about 'No More'? Did they promote that? Nope. That label is such a mess. UGH.
August 11, 200717 yr Author Well I'm in favour of this. With promotion it'll do so so well, and should get some decent Christmas market sales in December too ^_^ And many artists have a GH after three albums  Check Natalie Imbruglia's, out next month!
August 11, 200717 yr What promotion, lol? Her contract expires in September (I think), so she wont be under contract to go and promote anything.
August 11, 200717 yr Author Well they wouldn't be releasing it in October if her contract expired in September now, would they? It'd drop a month earlier so she could promote, but since that isn't the case, either her contract doesn't expire next month, or its actually a 4 album deal and this will be the 4th album.
August 11, 200717 yr Yes, they would. Atlantic released a GH after Brandy's contract expired. Label's do that all the time. http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b364/white_houses01/icon_yes.gif I hope Jamelia manages to get her arse online and give us some serious updates.
August 12, 200717 yr :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: OMFG OMFG!!!! im excited.. i really hope they f***ing promote it seriously.

Come on look at Samantha Mumba and Billie Piper, they had Greatest Hits' packages released WELL after they were both dropped, they own the material and can therefore release it whenever they like really. I want to go on record as saying I think this is a terrible idea, although because I am a fan I will probably buy it. :arrr:
August 12, 200717 yr Author This is what people on Popjustice have been saying: Geek 101 (our very own Off Da Endz!): This is Parlophone being greedy bitches trying to rinse & cash in from Jamelia. It's terrible. They're a mess. - Scoodle (in response): Yeah, really greedy of them wanting to make money out of recordings they''ve paid for. How dare they. - Kirkland: Jamelia has flopped much harder before and she still kept her deal. She always seemed so immune to the phrase: "You're fired." - Dazzle: If I was Parlophone I'd call it ''Thank you and goodnight''. I'd like to see ''One day'' on there as its the standout from ''Drama'' and she used to perform it live. - Attention Whore: I don't own a Jamelia album, but I'd buy this. I've always been slightly put off by some of the reviews of Jamelia's previous albums that praised the killer singles but slagged off the filler. This is an ideal purchase as far as I'm concerned. - Kirkland: Thank the Lord Parlophone didn't call the album Jamelia - Beware Of The Dog. That would have been awful. - Jamesdaniel07: When i first read the title i thought oh know, but after looking at the tracklisting i would buy it. I know a majority of them! The opinions of Jamesdaniel and Attention whore for me sum up why this album is a great idea B) Edited August 12, 200717 yr by Trelawney
August 12, 200717 yr tbh i dont think it is a good idea. J wont be with Parlophone for much longer so why the hell want to release a GH. I dont think Parlophone will promote it enough so i dont seem a point in it, there prob be like 1 ad for tv and thats it end of... i can just see that its going to be a flop, well not a flop just not doing as good :( Edited August 12, 200717 yr by __paul__
August 14, 200717 yr With the right promo then yeah could have a chance. But i think somewhere in top 20 or top 15
