I really wish TT could prove them all wrong and go to number one.

Westlife are releasing on 29 th of October . Do you ,guys, think they will knock TT or Leona off number one spot ? If they did, it would be the biggest SHAME Take That ever had.

Spice Girls are also releasing on the 29th October right? Well I think it's 99.9% certain that Westlife will be on X Factor like Leona but it is up against the Spice Girls [apparently] so who knows. Which ever out of Take That, McFly or Leona is at #1 though will only have a week at #1.

Well Leona ain't got any competition unless someone, somewhere starts to play Take That's song on the radio. Apart from its first two plays (one on R1 and one on R2) I haven't heard anything. And I'm not alone - I honestly sometimes think the radio stations just hate them and are boycotting their songs. I can understand it a bit with IWFL because even I wasn't fond of it (not as a single anyway) but RTW is fabulous. Clear path for Leona to number 1.

Radio 1 have C-listed Take That today, granted they've C-listed McFly and B-listed Leona too but being playlisted by Radio 1 doesn't mean you're guranteed a hit.

Oasis's new single has also been B-listed by Radio 1 too, which is released on the same week Leona, Take That and McFky are releasing on.

I just love Noel Gallagher so if anyone was going to beat Take That - I'd rather it was Oasis. Still - no point betting against Leona - her dire song has got it in the bag!

Never mind that ... Take That are on the Live Lounge 2 CD to be released ion 22 October - I'm more excited about that than RTW.

Hardly a fair statement :o TT's comeback has had enormous support from the radio stations, hence why both Patience and Shine both topped the airplay chart. You can't say they are boycotting them due to IWFL. That song is too slow to be a radio hit. And it's early days. RTW vid only premied a few days ago, and I've seen the vid on E4 countless times today (due to being off work sick :( ). They are definatly in with a good chance. I myself, would love Oasis to be #1, but it's only a download single so there is little hope.

On reflection you're probably right ... they did get good mileage out of Patience and Shine (still think IWFL could have been played a bit more though). Anyway - still think Lewis has bagged number 1 - even with a pretty bland and boring song - still ... she's a nice girl. Personality of a frying pan like, but nice nonetheless!

What did you think of TT's accoustic over of the Kaiser Chiefs then?

I dunno why everyone is so sure Leona will be #1. Yes she has X Factor but without that would people be so confident she'll be #1? Probably not. I agree she's going to have an advantage but unlike Take That, Oasis and McFly she doesn't have a proven fanbase yet. McFly and Take That are guranteed 30k at least i'd say and who knows how well Oasis may perform on downloads and they're easily gonna get the most support from Radio 1 out of those 4 acts.

For a start - I think the 400,000 folk who bought her first single will buy this one (and her first single was worse than this one). Added to that ... the papers are hyping her up big style ... Simon Cowell has got millions to spend on her and he will (there was quite a bit in the Mirror today saying we are watching the birth of a new superstar! - yes we all know that's b*llocks ... but all the same - she has the world and his wife on her side). At least for this song ... but she won't last ... you need a personality to last ... and I've not seen one yet.

I'm so happy ... a mate has just sent me Take That's cover of EDILYL&L

I'd be suprised if she sold that much overall to be honest. I do like the song but like you say it's all over the papers and it's just been thrown in my face and I hate that so it's putting me off the song. But still it shall be interesting now with Oasis, Take That, McFly and Leona. Biggest chart battle of the year easily!

Nooo, this is totally bull$h!t... Those who bought her single those people were the Xfactor fans, not personally Leona's if you know what i mean.. They are more interested in the current show now and i very doubt they give a damn about a new Leona's song. Some of them probably might buy it, but definitely not all the 400,000.

Yes, this show view more than 7 million people,it has a huge rating and even a single perfomance will give her sales a huge boost, but can you imagine how many people will go to see'Stardust'? Hundred of thousands, probably millions... I am sure many people will love it and would like to buy everything related the movie including the main theme song. PLUS Take That fans will be downloading and buying CDs like crazy either...

I dont get why everyone's convinced Leona will win the battle... I for one think Take That are in a more favorable position than her.

I so hope you're right Locott! And I must admit - every time I hear their song I'm convinced its probably one of the best I've heard. And it so goes with the film. Have you any idea if it'll be released in the US? Because this was their only chance of having a second hit over there but I think they may have missed the boat now that the film has left theatres.

Kath

I just hope for the best for take that i aint going to have suuuuuuper high hopes and then look like an idiot if they dont go to no.1

so im not gonna brag about how many fans they've and that they'll with out a doubt go to no.1 et etc.

Imma just wait and see how thing turns out.

Nope, i don't have a clue . But If Gary and Mark visited the LA premiere they surely did it for some reason. I mean why would go overseas if you dont have any plans towards the US market?

Maybe the chance of a freebie visit to a premiere when you'd be in the company of the gorgeous Michelle Pfeiffer not to mention the fabulous Robert DeNiro? I don't think they had any intentional plans at all of making it in America (I'm sure they'd be pleased as heck if they had a hit there) but I can't see any of them wanting to go through the hard slog of promo over there - I mean - the States is like trying to conquer 50 countries all at once!

That would be so stupid of them if it was true.. I really don't think so. I guess, we just have to wait and see! If they dont release RTW in the US, it will be the biggest waste.
