Posted August 13, 200717 yr http://i9.tinypic.com/63j07pf.jpg Didn't take a psychic to predict Kasabian getting to no.1, although the 5 weeks it was originally planned are looking VERY unlikely with The Enemy now right on their tails at no.2. Next week's no.1 could go either way. This meant last week's no.1 from Athlete has to take a premature dive to no.3 which is a shame considering there are still a couple of weeks left before its release. Maxïmo Park and Hard-Fi both still remain in the top 5. Quite a bit of movement outside the top 5 this week as well, with a belter of a new entry from Stereophonics. 'It Means Nothing' is the next release from their forthcoming album 'Pull The Pin', following on from the unimpressive 'Bank Holiday Monday'. Imo, it's up there with the best things theyve released and I can almost confirm this song will be top 5, possibly even top 3 next week. The only other new entry this week is the follow up to the excellent 'Heavyweight Champion Of The World'. Its not quite as catchy, but its a decent enough song in its own right and should peak about the no.6 mark before its release this month.
