You may well consider the guy an idiot, however he certainly knows how to get maximum publicity - and that is what he is the master of :rolleyes: By slagging off other artists he will get into every newspaper and will be quoted for weeks and every time his name is mentioned then so too are the names of his own acts that he is working to promote. Promotion is costly so this extra publicity is priceless. What ever you say about this slimeball his acts have been very successful. If you add up all the sales of both singles and albums here and abroad of all his acts both past and present then I'm sure it would run in to millions of units shifted not bad for a "fool" of a manager ;)

Yes, of course you are right. He picks the artists with huge fan bases - it makes him unpopular, but it also makes him 'out there' in the public awareness - he's obviously willing to make the trade off :rolleyes:

he isnt stupid, he is very astute - look at the coverage he is getting, these days it pays to slag off others, the media don't do good, or nice, that doesnt make a good "story" but they lap this stuff up, its all PR and all PR is good and he knows it.

None of us have the opportunity of using a media platform to slag off other artists, and furthermore, none of us stand to make a financial gain by plugging our chosen ones either.

 

As far as I'm concerned, the man is amking a fool of himself and the artists he represents. We've only got to look at the vitriol being hurled in his direction on this thread to realise if he keeps on like this, he could cause a huge backlash against those he's hoping to promote.

If this was true it would not be so bad...remember when he used to big up Boyzone/ronan keating and then when they had a falling out he went out of his way to diss him at every opportunity and now the rift as been healed he's back to bigging him up :rolleyes: the same with GA when they were managed by him they were the best girl band in the world, but since the management change i have heard him on numerous occasions slagging them off.

 

He slags Will and Robbie off all the time he was slagging JT off yesterday and yet he says SW is a mixture between all 3 :blink: the man just does not have a clue :lol:

I like them all apart from Robbie, but still Robbie is FAR superior to people like Westlife, and he has got some great songs, i just dont like his personality, he seems big headed. lol

i agree with some of what louis said. The Spices are not the best singers in the world they were very lucky and were very well promoted. I also don't think Kylie has a very good voice but she has an enormous fan base and works with very good producers. As for Will I also think he is pretentious, he does believe he is a cut above the rest he always has and that attitude is also the stand his fans take when they slag off other acts (especially other male solo acts). Louis said that he liked Will's songs but not his attitude, that is his opinion which of course he is entitled to :P

He was AWFUL yesterday on Radio 1. Slagging off several acts. Especially Britney Spears.

 

Someone asked if he could help her, and he was like 'She needs professional help'.

 

I was like Erm yeah, and because of the amount of $h!t that comes out of your mouth, you arent professional mate :D.

 

He is just FOUL.

Will is a "cut above the rest" when it comes to reality/talent show winners, that is why he has sustained a career lasting over five years so far.

 

As for the word "pretentious" I wonder if Louis said it meaning "How dare Will Young think he can sing at the Last Night of the Proms, or act in a film, or on the stage at the Royal Exchange. He is only a reality/talent show winner after all!"

Well, I can see a huge difference. People on here who do something similar only give their opinions and that's the end of it. But someone like Louis - never liked the slimeball :puke2: from the first moment I heard him speak - is doing this mainly for one reason: money. Anyone who gets paid - whether directly or indirectly - for slagging off other people is despicable in my opinion.

 

Anyway, there are few people I'd like to hit, probably because I'm a woman, but Louis, the git, is one of them. And I bet I could easily floor him. :lol: Poor Shayne.
