oh we certainly shouldnt forget the past, we must learn from it.

 

its not a case of 'no one being offended', in icr's case that could be a fair argument, but its a national thing. imho gollywogs are as offensive as the black and white minstral show.

yeah sure - i understand that. in which case, little britain is highly offensive (they had a minstrel esque show, the vomit at the asian womans cooking etc) - not only because of its racist parts, but because it is in a climate in which they should definately know better. but i haven't heard any such complaints about it.

It was actually when they started doing those particular kind of sketches in LB, that i frankly tuned out tbh.. First series had a sense of the surreal and the absurd about it, the last series however was just utter tripe, and got pretty damn close to racism...
