Artists fighting it out for best UK newcomer will include Mutya Buena, N Dubz, Sadie Ama, Tinchy Stryder and UnkleJam. Kanye West and 50 Cent will continue their rivalry with both up for best hip hop act, alongside Common, Dizzee Rascal and Kano. Other nominations include Amerie’s Take Control and Robin Thicke’s Lost Without You for best song, and BlushUK and Jahaziel for best gospel act. Nominations for best African act are currently being compiled from votes taken from music fans on the continent.
