AUSSIE starlet Delta Goodrem has revealed that a newfound maturity, a passion for fashion and life in London away from the spotlight are responsible for her sexy new image.

 

The singer/songwriter, whose new single In This Life will be heard on radio from Tuesday, says she has outgrown the wholesome, girl-next-door image for which she is famous, but despite a vampish video and a Brigitte Bardot look, says that underneath she is still the same person.

 

"I have just grown into myself and my personality and started to let people see the real me a bit better," she said this week.

 

"But my foundations are exactly the same -- I have the same morals, the same parents -- but I lived in London and had some very funky friends who dressed very well.

 

"My tastes have changed along the way from travelling a lot and . . . not being under the microscope."

 

It has been three years since Goodrem released Mistaken Identity, the darker follow-up to her multi-platinum debut Innocent Eyes. Goodrem says the second album was influenced mainly by her battle with Hodgkin's disease, which made her feel unattractive and unfeminine.

 

Now, as she prepares to release her still untitled third album, she is much happier, secure in her relationship with Brian McFadden and much more comfortable with her image.

 

In This Life, released on September 15, is about accepting the past for better or worse, and enjoying the present, Goodrem says.

 

"I did kind of lose my confidence," she says. "It was a really hard time, but it's all in the past now."

That pic of her with the mad face looks so airbrushed and fake, i hate it!

i think it just looks weird because she has no lip colour

Lets face it, i know delta is changing her image, but at the end of the day, that IS NOT Delta, she's not so much into the glamour as other celebs she is about her music, but these pics are making me think she's just changing everything...

it is for a fasion shoot. she does not look like that in every day life. the true delta is the delta we saw in woolloomooloo
