Here in Ireland, it is starting on tuesday. We always get US shows before the UK, but it is very strange if the UK don't get it till June. That is just bizzare.

UGH. Waiting for months -_-

Anyway, i know we have seen this but...

Anyway. I just hope Edie isnt actually gone! I know some of Series 4 has aired, but no spoilers thankyou please :(

I haven't seen any of it - I'd rather wait for it to be on TV in the United Kingdom (or is released on DVD across the Atlantic and buy it off someone like Amazon) - but I know what happens. (Thanks to it being in Heat a few months back.)

As for Heat, they have a bit in the TV section saying what's happening with American shows, and they say that Channel 4 has postponed showing it until March. At the earliest.

And for our Irish friend - you'll only be getting 10 episodes.

Oh, and this strike has had me thinking: In the Simpsons episode "The PTA Disbands", Homer says that the American way is not to go on strike, but to go in every day and "do it really half-assed". So are they following their own advice?

Oooh :o I'm tempted to know, but then again i'm not :(

This will affect viewing figures too i think -_- If i'm not mistaken DH usually does well? Around 3 - 3.5 million viewers i'm sure.

Finally on Sunday the US will be showing the 10th episode!

Episode 9 is a huge cliffhanger and I've been waiting for ages to see what happens next!

Season 4 is the strongest, IMO, since the first season. I thought it was weakening a little towards the end of Season 3 but this season is just fantastic! Great humour, characters, emotion, and mystery etc.

And Darren, Episode 9 was definately the best episode ever of Desperate Housewives. Watched episode 10 on Monday.. the first 5 minutes were so emotional! Episode 10 was great again, it's just such a shame that it may be the last of the season due to the strike. :(

The European Premier of it was on here in Ireland on Tueday and it has broke records for ratings. It is the highest ratings a US show has got in RTE2's history, even beating the final episode of Friends in 2004. It is also the most any show has got on RTE2 in almost 10 years, with over 666,000 viewers, which is the equivalent of nearly 11 million in the UK, which is beyond amazing when you consider it only gets around 3-4m in the UK :o

The epsidode was just brilliant, and a great opening to the new series. ^_^

I was looking on Wikipedia...

Series 4 does not start till June/July, they are waiting to show a whole season instead of 8 episodes, Wiki are wrong.

 why? thats far too long for me to wait!

  • 1 month later...

I think Ive read that it starts airing in the UK on the 26th of March :D. So not long to go now.

and also I think they are going to do another 7 episodes to finish season 4..

There's 6 more episodes to be made but the finale is 2 hours long! :cheer: It comes back in the U.S. on April 13.

CAN'T WAIT  I've been missing my usual Desperate Housewives fix! :(

Ugly Betty should be coming back this month as well! :cheer:
