Newly-single pop beauty Jamelia is to strut her stuff in a charity special of Strictly Come Dancing.

 

The sexy singer - who split from Millwall footballer Darren Byfield last week - will take part in a one-off special for BBC1's Sport Relief in January. A source said: "Jamelia fell in love with the show after being a guest judge last year.

 

"Like most women she loved the outfits, the moves - and the athletic male dancers."

 

The 26-year-old singer has moved out of the Kent home she shared with Darren, 30, their 20-month-old daughter Tiani and Teja, her daughter from a previous relationship.

 

She told pals she was sick of women making a play for Darren and was rocked by rumours he cheated on her - claims he denied. Now she's moving on by grabbing a chance to shine on the small screen.

 

She's already had a part in the film St Trinian alongside Rupert Everett and Mischa Barton. The source said of her next role: "I bet she's regretting being too harsh on some contestants in the last series!"

Good luck to her! I will watch this, but I always watch Strictly Come Dancing anyway.

What was she like as a judge?

 

I can't wait to see her dancing, because it's not often we see her doing it.

 

This is ballroom dancing, is it? (I haven't watched the show before).

Well it's a mixture of dancing - ballroom, tango, salsa, a bit of everything :P Mostly latin and traditional.

 

I don't recall her being a guest judge! Can't wait though ^_^ And I didn't know she's in St Trinian!

... and a load of other people I dunno lol. Shes the only singer on the show. I kinda didnt want her to do it because whoever goes on these shows are labelled 'nobodies' which I warned her about. But its good promo and she sounds happy so ...

 

And it will be great watching her on tv every night + shes a great dancer so she better win lol

 

Hopefully J is on, as it'll be good promo for the GH album.

Well from what you said about J doing it it sounded like a one off. I think it's more likely J is to be on Strictly Ice Dancing at Christmas, which is just the one-off...
