Britney Spears - Gimme More

The first single from Britney Spears' long-awaited fifth studio album will debut as soon as next week, EW.com has learned — and it's not this or this, the two supposed Britney tracks that leaked online at perezhilton.com last week.

A source who's heard the single says it's called ''Gimme More,'' an up-tempo club cut produced by Timbaland protégé Nate ''Danjahandz'' Hills (Justin Timberlake, T.I.). ''Gimme More'' was also reported as the name of the music video that Spears was spotted shooting in July. (Representatives for Jive, Spears' label, did not return calls seeking comment.)

''People are going to love [the new single],'' raved the source. ''It's like when Justin came back [with FutureSex/LoveSounds] — she's got a whole new sound. She's funky.''

Another insider who's heard ''Gimme More'' is similarly enthusiastic: ''It's a smash! She's going to come out strong. The only question is, with all the drama, are people going to want something fun or something more serious? This is a dance single.''

Spears also worked with other producers on material for her upcoming CD, including J.R. Rotem (Sean Kingston), and although the album still has no official title or release date, a third source close to the top-secret project says it's expected to hit shelves this fall with little to no promotional setup: ''She's got more than enough material.''

Billboard has confirmed the single!

A new Britney Spears track, "Gimme More," is expected to hit the airwaves next week, according to sources at Jive Records. The up-tempo cut, produced by Timbaland right-hand-man Nate "Danjahandz" Hills, will appear on Spears' new album, but sources say it has yet to be decided whether it will be the official lead single or simply a setup track.

Spears is known to have worked with J.R. Rotem and Sean Garrett on as-yet-unnamed tracks. "I've got this one record I've been holding for 10 months that everyone has tried to buy, but I stayed with Britney on it," Garrett told Billboard in late June. "I guarantee it will shake up the world. It's uptempo, out of control ... it's wowzers, produced by me and Bloodshy."

In the past year, Spears' personal travails have far overshadowed her music career. But she is rumored to be making an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards next month in Las Vegas, where she has previously made headlines by kissing Madonna and performing with a giant snake draped across her body.

The new Spears album, which is expected before year's end, is the follow-up to 2003's "In the Zone," which has sold just shy of 3 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Luciano or Mayte please please translate that to english :D I understood it (I think :P ) almost 90% of it but will be cool if we have the whole thing in english too ^_^

EXCLUSIVE: Details of the Presentation in the VMAs! Gimme More & Cry Medley and but

This information is via Ruben Dario, one of her new Britney dancers to the VMAs performance. This words are directly from Ruben exclusivly to HeyBritney.com: "On August 13th, a very close person to Britney Spears, Angie Wright, called me when she saw my profile and curriculum at The Youth Performing Arts School in Louisville. For me it was a great surprise, I've always been a Britney fan... Angie told me that they were looking for latin dancers (I'm from Puerto Rico), I'm 1.70 meters ... and asked me to do a casting in New York 3 days later. I went to the place and afeter some tests they choice me.

Right now I'm in Las Vegas, rehearsing for the VMA performance.

We're working very hard for the 9th september performance, where Britney Spears will close the show with a Medley of her new single, Gimme More, and a beautiful ballad called Cry. The performance will be amazing.

Britney Spears is right now working on selecting the wardrobe for the performance. Maybe, it will be one of her most complicated performance ever., she pretends to sing live the first estrophe and estribillo of Cry while she dances in a game of mirror that makes her appear and disapper (thats where Criss Angel is good). Around her some dancers in black outfits will make hard coreography and moves in the air that will end in the entrance of Gimme More. Just in the bridge part of the song I came in next to Britney we dance somethin like a Reggaeton instrumental.

The mirror will play a big part of the show the will represent a cold enviroment and so elegant one, with blue and white colours, that will be on Cry, untill Gimme More, with fire and hot colors... More info soon..

hope this guy is not talking bull cuz this sounds great :D

Pop star Britney Spears has sent a brand new track to radio. “Gimme More” is set to make its on-air debut next week. The cut was produced by Timbaland associate Nate “Danjahandz” Hills. The Spears camp is being mum on a forthcoming album, not even announcing if this will be the anticipated disc’s lead single. News of Spears working in the studio with big name producers has been popping up all s er.

Spears is also rumored to be appearing at this year’s MTV VMAs, which are broadcast live from Las Vegas on September 9th. Spears has a history of making news at the show.

Britney Spears’ most recent release was 2005’s B In The Mix: The Remixes, which did not reach the Top 100 on Billboard’s main chart. The only single from that album, “(Someday) I Will Understand” failed to chart anywhere but in Germany, where it reached #22. Spears last appeared in the US Top 10 with 2004’s “Toxic”.

A source who alleges to have heard the single tells the news outlet it’s called “Gimme More,” was produced by Danjahandz and is an up-tempo dance track. “Gimme More” had also been reported as the name of the song for which the singer was seeing shooting a video last month. In related news, the infamous Versace gown Spears was supposed to wear during her aborted OK! magazine shoot went up for auction on eBay on Wednesday (August 29). USA Today reported that bidding on the dress started at $5,700, with proceeds going to Mothers Against Drunk Driving. …

MTV.com report

Me too! I'm getting really excited! I've been reading the news all over the net on major web sites and it must be pretty set in stone if Billboard already confirmed the single. :D Hopefully we get to hear it sometime next week!
