Posted August 30, 200717 yr As all our thoughts seem to be turning to Will's next tour I thought I'd start a thread to discuss our personal highlights from the KO tour. Will promised us a concert 10 times better than the FC tour & in my view he more than delivered. :yahoo: It was like a stick of Blackpool rock with Will's influence running right through it. Highly theatrical & unique & yet Will never compromised on his vocal. In fact for me he has never sounded better. :cheer: So what were the standout moments from the KO tour for you?
August 30, 200717 yr Great idea TT I loved the opening of the KO tour...when the curtain fell i thought i was going to die with excitement [ starting to feel the same way just thinking about it http://bestsmileys.com/fainting/1.gif] seeing Will revealed in his pilot uniform :w00t: and the dancing ...he had come such a long way from the Winter tour and like you say his vocals where not compromised one bit even when he bent over backwards or lied on the floor his vocals where so loud and powerful :yahoo:

August 30, 200717 yr I only went to three but I haven't any 'stand-out' moments cos it was all great. I wouldn't say it eclipsed the FC tour - it was just great in it's own right - just as FC tour was. He just gets better and better. I posted in Griff's Over You thread on D to say the FC tour version was my favourite - the performance and dance routines were so polished, professional and inspired - and Louis Walsh has the nerve to say Shayne is the better performer. No way Jose' - he's got a long way to go before he reaches Will's standard of performance. It's not just about having a great voice. Danni said about Louis when he said Kylie couldn't sing...."I wonder if he can tell how many singers he knows who can sing for 2 hours and be note perfect". Well - WE DO!!!! - :cheer: and - yes - it is possible to sing and dance at the same time - if you have the talent - which Louis reckons Will hasn't. Yeah right! The last performance at Wembley was the best for me on the KO tour because where we were sat we could see the back of the stage too - which at Brum we didn't. I reckon the closing routine of SIO will take some beating. I love it that he chose his 'risky' first single as the song that people had ringing in their ears as they left the arena. Not silly is our boy :P Can't wait for the next. Come on William we don't do 'patience'. :w00t: :cheer: Edited August 30, 200717 yr by munchkin
August 30, 200717 yr Definitely Say That I Love You was a standout. In fact, it was my favourite song on that tour. Everything about that was brilliant, from the gameshow film in the background, with the backing singers appearing on film and doing the same movements as in the live concert, to their and Will's vocals, to Rupert appearing in the film (although, actually, he only appeared when Will had gone on to singing Out Of My Mind, but it was still the same film), to the dancers and the band being absolutely BRILLIANT!! Other highlights: The start, Keep On, was brilliant, loved the whole airport scene and pilot/stewardesses outfits. All I Want! I don't think I need to elaborate The acoustic medley with Jerry & Joseph joining in the singing. Who Am I - I'm not a great fan of the song/single, but it was beautiful in concert Happiness - I know I'm probably in a minority of 1 about that  but I loved it, with the dancers and the silly commercial film in the background - what a brilliant idea All Time Love/Ain't Such A Bad Place To Be - again, really well done with the one song flowing into the next, being very different Finally, that gorgeous cover he sang, can't remember the title at the moment, though it's on the tip of my tongue. Anyway, it was wonderful. :cheer:  One lowlight: he didn't sing Think About It. :( Edited August 30, 200717 yr by Toni
August 30, 200717 yr It was Don't Let Me Be Lonely - Toni - beautiful song - sung in a red vest as bonus  http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v431/WillsNo1Fan/brighton30th7.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v230/soulful02/Brighton11.jpg Edited August 30, 200717 yr by munchkin
August 30, 200717 yr Oh gosh TT, I don't know where to begin but I'd love to go back in time and do it all again. :cheer: It was just such an entertaining show and Will's vocals were awesome from start to finish. The costumes and the dancing and all the other little things going on that you miss the first time, so you just had to go again to take it all in. I loved the start as well when the big red curtain fell and everyone went crazy :yahoo: and then Will in his pilots uniform looking feckin amazing and strutting his stuff, I thought me and flip flop were going to explode, it was such a great concert and it always amazes me how Will just gets better and better and gives more everytime you see him, my favourite tour so far and I just know that I'll be saying that about the next one, as he'll go one better again. :cheer: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v307/Bernid/Willsoldierwemb.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/Lisaveal/WillYoungBrightonandWembley268r.jpg http://i62.photobucket.com/albums/h89/Jeanettepayne/Brighton5_filtered.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/Lisaveal/WillYoungBrightonandWembley016r.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v345/SMSSMS/WillBrightonFriday043a.jpg http://hometown.aol.co.uk/Julesdetots/images/brum10.jpg
August 30, 200717 yr Great pics suggy Yep :D I loved everything about the tour, Loved everything about the FC one too (well maybe I wasn't quite so keen on In the Stone on that one, 'cos the sound where I sat wasn't good) Will in pilots uniform, a sight to behold ;) I actually think I took a sharp intake of breath whan that curtain went back. I turned to look at my son, who had accompanied me under sufferance, and even he had a big grin on his face. Favourite vocal was Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight  Wish he'd do that one as the cover on album 4. But he was superb on every song a great, great performer.
August 30, 200717 yr Author Thanks for the lovely pics munchkin & suggy. He did treat us to a great show. :yahoo:

You've summed up the show for me brilliantly. It's hard to pick favs from such an outstanding show. The only part I didn't care for was the drum solo, though I know it went down well with many Will fans.

It's great how everyone gets to do their individual bits during his shows, even the dancers. They aren't just his backing they are all an integral part of his performance and, quite rightly, deserve their time in the limelight.

Guess we're all different but then again I've never been keen on instrumental pieces. I tolerated it for the first couple of concerts but by the third I'm afraid I nipped to the loo. I just wanted it over so I could hear that beautiful voice again. I agree about everyone being an integral part of Will's shows & he treats them as such and never views them as supporting him. He must be great to work with, although a stickler for perfection. Bet he was none too happy when that music box failed to open in Cardiff. :P Edited August 31, 200717 yr by truly talented

September 4, 200717 yr Author  Did it fail to open altogether??? :o Did he sing the whole ATL from inside the box, then? :o No I don't think so but I think it took quite some time to open. Think there were also problems getting the stage blocks togther. Does anyone else remember?

I can remember reading the posts on Devoted about his box not opening and that he'd started singing ATL still with the lid down, bless.
