The electro-pop ballad 2 Hearts is on a shortlist of three to be the first single. And I urge Kylie to release the track, co- written with sleazy underground electro-punk outfit KISH MAUVE. Don’t worry, the song is not a cover of the cheesy Eighties PHIL COLLINS hit Two Hearts. It’s a solid, classic Kylie song you won’t stop humming. It’s on a par with Can’t Get You Out Of My Head. Kylie — pictured above in London last night going to see the offbeat comedy Elling, starring Life On Mars actor JOHN SIMM — penned 2 Hearts while in Ibiza earlier this year, listening to lots of club anthems. With the expertise of the Kish Mauve crew — who name ANNIE LENNOX, KATE BUSH and GRACE JONES as influences — Kylie has another belter on her hands. The pop princess’ vocals sound different and hark back to her work with NICK CAVE over ten years ago. Once the formalities of royalties are sorted out, the track will be on the list of three to be released as her first single in over two years. I can also reveal that Kylie’s label have the pleasant headache of selecting a final tracklisting from a bank of 40 contenders — all of which are good enough to make the grade. Some big names who collaborated with her might not make the cut. Among them are SCISSOR SISTERS, STUART PRICE, CALVIN HARRIS and GROOVE ARMADA. Kylie said: “We are now in the final stages of the album and are having to make some difficult but exciting decisions about which songs will stay and which ones will go. But I think you can safely say that 2 Hearts will be staying. “I started working on this album a year and a half ago and can’t believe it is nearly finished.” Expect Kylie to hit No1 in both charts when the single and album are released in November. this is so exciting i can't wait and she looks amazing.
August 31, 200717 yr Author Everyone who has heard the singles seems to really like it. Ive heard the version with the "ghost singers". i think thats what they call them. When they get back up singers to sing it first to see how it sounds and I wasnt that impressed. But they obv would have chnage dit since then
