Posted May 3, 200619 yr Although Judas Priest have achieved just about everything any metal band could ever hope for, they are currently writing a new album that will tell the story of the 16th century French prophet, Nosdradamus. Priest plan to finished the recording by 2007 when they will be performing the whole piece live on stage. "That's going to be something absolutely spectacular!" Halford (vocals) was quoted as saying. "We're determined again to hit a knew level and leave people stunned." The album will explain how the Frenchman came into existance, how he grew up knowing that he had the ability to see into the future and the circumstances he experienced as an ordinary man living in Europe in the 16th century. Priest have already mentioned some of the characters over the decades ('Loch Ness', 'The Senital', 'Sinner' for example) so writing the album might not be as hard as first thought but it would still be daunting (telling the story of Nostradamus against a hard rock background isn't something a band does every day). Nevertheless, Priest are up for the challenge. Source: Ultimate-guitar.com
