WESTLIFE IN FIVE ALBUM DEAL

Irish crooners WESTLIFE are on the brink of securing a GBP8.75 million (GBP5 million) deal each to record another five albums. The FLYING WITHOUT WINGS hitmakers will ensure their longevity by renewing their lucrative contract with record giant Sony BMG. A source tells British newspaper The Sun, "Westlife's current record deal with BMG is about to expire. Bosses flew to Belfast last week to talk money with the boys. "(Manager) LOUIS WALSH wanted GBP5 million for each of the lads - and himself - just to re-sign the band. "He also wanted a 60/40 profit split between themselves and the record company - with the boys getting the higher cut."
